We would like to share some alarming statistics with you:
40% of India's population is below the age of 18 years which at 400 million is the world's largest child population. In India, only 53% of habitations have a primary school.
53% of girls in the age group of 5 to 9 years are illiterate. We believe it is the basic right of every child to get an education to fulfill his/her potential and le
ad a life of dignity. We are particularly adamant about improving the treatment of girls and providing all children with the opportunity to test high enough to get into a good government school. Al Falah operates educational centers for children living in the slums, in U.P. A/F was conceived by concerned local residents as a reaction to the plight of these underprivileged children, with a particular focus on migrant worker families. Through our learning centers we reach out to these children and educate them in a joyous, creative and modern atmosphere. Our education curriculum focuses on the core subjects of math, Hindi, English, environmental science and computers, with additional exposure to the arts and various sports. We also provide one warm meal a day and occasional medical check-ups, as well as transportation and uniforms. In addition to our four programs in Hardoi & Delhi, we operate two rural computer learning centers in Rajasthan and Haryana. We are always in need of volunteers, donations, or even just some good or' karma! Directions for donating:

AL Falah concerns itself with children – children who call India home, but continue to be deprived of their most elementary right, the right to learning and dignity, the right to a childhood. As a Hardoi-based non-governmental, non-profit organization, Al Falah reaches out to children from the city’s so many impoverished slums and squatter settlements to bring the rights and joys of childhood into their lives by bringing them the possibility of learning and growing, of holistic development with education and nutrition, with nurture and care. With a robust foundation of learning in the early years, Al Falah successfully mainstreams them – to soar into a future with a promise of dignity. Al Falah also reaches out to women from some of the most impoverished communities in Hardoi and rural India. From the slums of U.P., AL Falah’s efforts give them a chance to educate themselves and build capabilities and skills to live a life of dignity. For AL Falah, any effort towards growth and development of a community remains incomplete without the empowerment of its women. We at AL Falah, aspire for a nation with people truly empowered, truly free and truly equal. To know more about us, check our and
HISTORY
A humble beginning to say the least, Al Falah first started in 2004 in the living room of its founder, Mr. The organization continued to function there for almost a year, providing informal education for 50 – 60 children daily. Al Falah, which means help & well Being, was registered as a trust on 23rd February 2008 and moved to its first rented premises in September of the following year. Since then, Al Falah has grown steadily in the number of beneficiaries it reaches and the number of centers it runs. Now, ten years since its inception, Al Falah is a credible NGO enjoying accreditation from within India.
