A meaningful community meeting was organized with the parents of children associated with our Shiksha Or Poshan Program. The purpose of this meeting was not just to share information, but to strengthen trust, participation, and community partnership through open dialogue. We discussed changes observed in children through the program, along with parents’ suggestions and feedback.
We are very happy to share that our youth volunteers are now taking initiative at the community level. More than 50 active youth volunteers are directly engaged in their villages, contributing to education, health and nutrition, gender issues, and other local issues through various programs. Active youth volunteers of Pahar — Kiran Sathe, Bharti Silare, and Karishma Devda — collaboratively designed and effectively facilitated the entire meeting in their village, Van Gram Badwani.
Youth are taking leadership at the community level and are collectively coming together to take action for the development of their community. Parents shared the changes they have observed in their children after joining the program. Many of them mentioned that:
- Children’s confidence has increased, and their interest in the learning center has grown.
- Positive changes are visible in their behavior; there has been improvement in cleanliness and daily routine.
- Children’s attendance at Anganwadi centers has increased.
