PRESS RELEASE

Budgam.

School Education Non-teaching Employees, Forum (SENTEF) Budgam strongly condemns Pahalgam terror attack, calls it a deep wound on humanity and Kashmir’s ethos.

The District President of the School Education Non-Teaching Employees Forum (SENTEF), Budgam, has issued a strong and unequivocal condemnation of the gruesome terror attack that occurred in the picturesque town of Pahalgam, resulting in the tragic loss of innocent lives and injuries to several others.

In a deeply emotional statement, the District President stated:

"The horrific act of violence that shook Pahalgam is not just an attack on a location—it is a direct assault on the soul of Kashmir and the universal values of humanity. Our land, known for its compassion, generosity, and centuries-old tradition of hospitality, has been stained by the blood of innocents. Such acts are not only cowardly but deeply shameful, and they must be condemned by every person with a conscience.”

The District President further added that the targeting of civilians, especially tourists who come to admire the natural beauty and peace of Kashmir, reflects the desperation and moral bankruptcy of those who perpetrate such crimes.

“These innocent lives were not just statistics—they were fathers, mothers, children, and friends. No cause, no ideology, no grievance can ever justify such inhuman brutality. We grieve with the bereaved families, and we pray for the speedy recovery of those injured.”

SENTEF Budgam called on all communities, civil society groups, and public leaders to rise above political and ideological divisions to collectively denounce such violence and reaffirm their commitment to peace and humanity.

“Let this be a moment of collective introspection. We must not let the forces of hatred define our future. Kashmir deserves peace, not pain. Harmony, not horror.”
The Forum also appealed to the government to ensure justice for the victims and take all necessary measures to protect innocent lives, restore public confidence, and prevent the recurrence of such heinous acts.
