Centre For Integrated Development Centre for Integrated is an NGO working in 55 District of Madhya Pradesh, Operating from Gwalior. CID works with the marginalized section of the society.

Our Motto is Striving for the change in lives of deprived people's Center for Integrated Development found its origin in the Northern part of Madhya Pradesh where the roots of rapid distress can be seen every where especially among deprived and vulnerable sections of the society. In 1992 a group of socially sensitive people instigated the organization against the forces which promote such structur

es and simultaneously has been working with communities at the grass root level for ensuring egalitarian society where everybody will have equal rights and a voice in deciding and managing their resources. Health & Hygiene have always been the priority for the organization and in this regard on a regular basis, the organization undertakes many activities directed towards maintaining sanitation and hygiene. In order to bring the underprivileged and vulnerable sections at par to the mainstream of the society the organization resorts to following strategies like:-

Awareness Program Organized Under the Child Marriage Free India Campaign on the Occasion of Upcoming Akshaya Tritiya

*Gwalior, 16 April 2026*

An awareness program on child marriage was organized at the Government Higher Secondary School, Paganbisi, Tilak Nagar, Gwalior on the occasion of the upcoming Akshaya Tritiya. The program was jointly organized by the Department of Women and Child Development, District Gwalior and the Just Rights for Children team of the Centre for Integrated Development. Around 80 students participated in the program.

Addressing the program Project Coordinator Rajendra Soni said that the likelihood of child marriages increases due to the higher number of weddings on auspicious occasions like Akshaya Tritiya. Keeping this in mind such programs are being organized to create timely awareness in society and to curb this social evil. He urged the students to stay vigilant while sharing information about the adverse effects, risks and preventive measures related to child marriage. He also said that if information about a child marriage is received it should be immediately reported on Child Helpline number 1098 and Police numbers 100/112.

On this occasion Sandeep Shrivastava Social Worker from the WCD department administered an oath to the students and staff present to make India child marriage free. Everyone pledged that they would stay away from child marriage themselves and play an active role in preventing such cases in their surroundings.

Awareness Program Organized Under Child Marriage Free India Campaign

Gwalior, Date: 15 April 2026

Under the Child Marriage Free India Campaign run by the Government of India an awareness program on child marriage was organized on the occasion of upcoming Akshaya Tritiya. The program was jointly conducted by the Women and Child Development Department District Gwalior, and the Center for Integrated Development (CID) organization’s Just Rights for Children team at Government C.M. Rise Girls Higher Secondary School Thatipur, Gwalior. Around 70 girl students participated in the program.

During the program Project Coordinator Rajendra Soni from the Center for Integrated Development (CID) stated in his address that on auspicious occasions like Akshaya Tritiya, the number of marriages traditionally increases which also raises the likelihood of child marriages. Keeping this in mind such programs are organized to create timely awareness in society about this social evil and to prevent possible child marriages. He further emphasized that active participation from every section of society is essential for the eradication of child marriage. He urged the students to stay aware of the risks, harmful effects, and preventive measures related to child marriage.

Sandeep Shrivastava a social worker from the Women and Child Development Department, District Gwalior, provided detailed information about the importance of Child Helpline 1098. He explained that in any emergency, exploitation or crisis situation, this helpline offers immediate assistance to children.

At the end of the program Arvind Kushwah from the organization administered a pledge to all the students and staff to contribute towards making India free from child marriage. Everyone pledged that they would not only stay away from child marriage themselves but would also play an active role in preventing such cases in their surroundings. The program concluded with a rally, where awareness was spread through slogans encouraging people to participate in this campaign against child marriage.

*Block-Level Orientation Training with Sahariya Community*

A Block-Level Orientation Training with the Sahariya community was successfully conducted on 11 April 2026 at Phoolraj Hotel, Kolaras. The session was organized by jointly by SAJAG and CID.

The program began with a participant introduction session, where community members actively introduced themselves.

During the training, an in-depth discussion was held on the formation and responsibilities of the Forest Rights Committee (FRC). Participants were informed about their forest rights and the procedures related to claiming them.

It was also decided that members of the Sahariya Jan Gathbandhan Committee will submit a memorandum in the upcoming public hearing at the SDM office for the formation of the Forest Rights Committee. Also, the upcoming Gram Sabha going to held on 14th April, in which SAJAG member will participate and appeal to process land claims.

Community members also shared local issues and challenges from their villages, which were discussed collectively.

The meeting concluded with participant signatures and documentation of the meeting proceedings.

*Training Program for Self-Help Group Members at Kishan Bagh*

A training program for Self-Help Group members was successfully organized on 14 April 2026 at Kishan Bagh, where 42 members from 10 different groups participated enthusiastically.

The training aimed to increase awareness about Child Rights, Social Issues, and Government Welfare Schemes.

The session began with an introduction facilitated by Youth Coordinator Yusuf Khan, where participants introduced themselves and shared their group details.

Mr. Yusuf Khan conducted an informative session on Child Rights, highlighting the principles of the 1924 Declaration of the Rights of the Child, including:
• Right to Survival
• Right to Development
• Right to Protection
• Right to Participation

Later, Communication Officer Rohit Gupta discussed important social issues such as girls’ education, child labour, and women's participation in society, while also sharing possible solutions to address these challenges.

Project Coordinator Mushtaq Ahmed then provided detailed information about key government schemes, including Ladli Behna Yojana, Sukanya Yojana, Ladli Laxmi Yojana, and the Right to Education (RTE) scheme.

Participants actively engaged in the discussions and shared their valuable experiences and perspectives.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Farah Khan, Instructor at Kishanbag Support Center, who encouraged participants to use the knowledge gained and spread awareness within their communities.

Religious Leaders’ Conference Held in Gwalior, Support Extended to the Child Marriage Free India Campaign

Under the “Child Marriage Free India Campaign”, the Centre for Integrated Development (CID) organized an important conference of religious leaders at Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple, Gendghar, Moti Mahal Road, Gwalior. The objective of the conference was to ensure the active participation of religious leaders in eliminating the social evil of child marriage from society.

Around 50 religious leaders from different faiths participated in the program and collectively pledged to raise awareness in society and work towards ending the practice of child marriage.

Speaking on the occasion, Acharya Dr. Manoj Shastri from Markandeshwar Temple said that religion never supports injustice or exploitation. He emphasized that child marriage violates children’s rights and has serious consequences on their health, education, and future. Religious leaders assured that through their religious platforms, sermons, and community gatherings, they would spread awareness about the harmful effects of child marriage and motivate society to eliminate this practice.

Acharya Dr. Neeraj Sharma from Karahiya Dham stated that child marriage is not only a social issue but also a serious matter affecting the future of children. He added that if religious leaders actively join this campaign, its impact will be widespread and help convey the right message to society.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Umesh Vashishtha, President of CID, said that laws alone are not enough to prevent child marriage; it is equally important to change societal attitudes and mindsets. Religious leaders hold a respected position in society, and their messages greatly influence people, making their support crucial for the success of the campaign.

Acharya Shri Nitesh Mishra from Hanuman Temple, Phoolbagh, highlighted that child marriage negatively affects girls’ education, health, and self-reliance. He appealed to religious leaders to verify the legal age before conducting marriages and actively spread awareness in society.

During the program, Mr. Rajendra Soni, Project Coordinator of CID, provided detailed information about the provisions of the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006.

At the end of the conference, the participating religious leaders collectively pledged to actively work to prevent child marriage and encourage their followers to stay away from this harmful practice.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks to all the guests and religious leaders. On this occasion, Mr. Sandeep Srivastava from the Women and Child Development Department, along with CID social workers Arvind Kushwah, Upendra Mishra, and Rakesh Nayak, were also present.

🌸 International Women’s Day Celebration – Empowering Women, Strengthening Society 🌸

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Centre for Integrated Development (CID) organized a special program at Hotel Imperial Inn, Nai Sadak, Lashkar, Gwalior to promote women’s empowerment, awareness of women’s rights, and the important role of women in society. Around 50 women, including distinguished guests, social workers, and survivors from different fields, participated in the event.

The program began with the welcome and introduction of the guests. Speakers shared their insights on important issues such as women’s empowerment, women’s rights, child protection, and the active participation of women in society.

Chief Guest Mrs. Anuradha Sharma, Assistant Commissioner, GST Bhopal, highlighted the importance of education and economic empowerment for women to become self-reliant. She encouraged women to remain aware of their rights and take leadership roles in society.

Special Guest Dr. Sandeepa Malhotra, Senior Social Worker and Former Chairperson of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Gwalior, spoke about child protection and women’s safety, emphasizing the need for collective efforts from all sections of society to protect the rights of women and children.

CWC members Mrs. Manisha Sharma, Mrs. Anju Bhadauria, and Mrs. Rashmi Tripathi shared their views on women’s rights, prevention of child marriage, child protection, and the need to build a positive social attitude towards women, stressing that respect and equal opportunities for women are essential for the progress of society.

Mrs. Neelam Dixit, Branch Manager, Family Planning Association of India, highlighted the importance of women’s health and family planning awareness, stating that a healthy woman is the foundation of a healthy family and society.
Mrs. Reena Shakya, Secretary of Neev Jan Kalyan Samiti, spoke about the struggles and achievements of women, acknowledging how women today are making their mark in every field.

During the program, survivors Fareen Khan and Fatima Khan shared their life experiences and journeys of resilience. Their stories highlighted that with courage and support, it is possible to overcome even the most difficult situations.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks and a collective commitment to continue working for the protection of women’s rights and dignity.

The event was attended by Mr. Umesh Vashishtha (President, CID), Ms. Sapna Soni (Treasurer), Ms. Neera Soni, Ms. Ekta Vashishtha, Ms. Khushi Kushwah, Ms. Reshma Khan, Mr. Rajendra Soni, Mr. Arvind Kushwah, Mr. Upendra Soni, Mr. Rakesh Nayak, along with the entire CID team.
