The NE SEA Confluence: North East India × South East Asia Confluence, held on 14 February 2026 at the Thai Bharat Cultural Lodge (TBCL), Bangkok, marked a significant milestone in strengthening cross-regional cooperation between North-East India and South-East Asia.

The event was jointly organised by the Emerging North-East Eco Forum (ENEEF) and TBCL, bringing together distinguished representatives from cultural institutions, industry sectors, academia, and international cooperation networks.

This Confluence served as a dynamic platform for dialogue, collaboration, and partnership building—highlighting the immense potential of our region in trade, connectivity, sustainability, cultural exchange, and innovation.

The discussions reflected a shared vision to deepen engagement, promote inclusive growth, and foster long-term strategic partnerships that benefit communities across both regions.

As we look ahead, the spirit of mutual respect, trust, and collaboration demonstrated at this Confluence will continue to guide us in building a stronger, more connected future together.

With over 50 years of extensive experience, Dato’ Tan brings deep insight and versatility in organisational management, leadership, and strategic governance. His wealth of knowledge will be invaluable as ENEEF strengthens its international engagement and long-term vision.

Dato’ Tan currently serves as a Member of the Audit and Risk Committee of the TARUC Education Foundation, a billion Ringgit enterprise that runs and operates TAR University of Management and Technology, Kuala Lumpur—a testament to his expertise in overseeing large, complex institutions.

This collaboration aims to enhance connectivity, boost trade efficiency, and unlock new economic opportunities for businesses across Northeast India, while fostering deeper integration with Southeast Asian markets.

ENEEF (Emerging North-East Eco Forum) is pleased to officially announce the appointment of Ms. Mangka Mayanglambam as the Cultural Ambassador of ENEEF.

In this role, Ms. Mangka will represent and promote the cultural heritage of Northeast India, with a special focus on Manipur, through cultural exchange and collaborative initiatives. She will work closely with international artists and collaborate with diverse creative communities to strengthen cross-cultural understanding and expand cultural visibility across global audiences.

This appointment reflects ENEEF’s ongoing commitment to building meaningful cultural bridges through artistic collaboration, shared knowledge, and sustained cultural engagement.

It was an honour to meet Ms. Rujikorn Jane Saengchartr, Director-General, Department of International Economic Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Thailand.
