SBOA Pubilc school was started in August 1994 with 8 students and three classes- L.K.G U.K.G and class I.

SBOA is situated in a sprawling campus at Garchuk, Guwahati on the bypass of National Highway 37,near ISBT.It was established in August 1994 under the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) from NURSERY to XII(Science, Humanities and Commerce). Year by year the school has been growing and in March,2002,the first batch of students appeared in class X .Final examination under the central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) . The school has been upgraded to Senior Secondary level in 2009 with Science, Humanities and Commerce stream in level
class XI and XII.

हिंदी दिवस समारोह,२०२६
हिंदी दिवस के उपलक्ष में १४ सितंबर, २०२६ को एस बी ओ ए पब्लिक स्कूल, गुवाहाटी के प्रांगण में हिंदी दिवस समारोह का आयोजन हर्षोल्लास एवं उत्साह के साथ किया गया। इस अवसर पर विद्यार्थियों एवं शिक्षकों ने हिंदी भाषा के प्रति अपना सम्मान और प्रेम विभिन्न सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों एवं शिक्षकगणों को बैज वितरित करके अभिव्यक्त किया।
कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ गणेश वंदना से हुआ। तदोपरांत हिंदी भाषा के महत्त्व एवं उसकी उपयोगिता पर भाषण प्रस्तुत किया गया। इसके पश्चात विद्यार्थियों के साथ साक्षात्कार का आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें सत्र २०२६-२७ के प्रभावी विद्यार्थियों ने हिंदी के प्रति अपने विचार एवं अनुभव साझा किए।
हिंदी समूह गीत ने वातावरण को मधुर एवं भावपूर्ण बना दिया‌ तथा हास्यास्पद कवि सम्मेलन ने सबको खूब हँसाया और कार्यक्रम में मनोरंजन का रंग भर दिया। विद्यार्थियों के समूह नृत्य ने समारोह की शोभा और भी बढ़ा दी और दर्शकों ने उनका उत्साहवर्धन किया।
अंत में राष्ट्रगान के साथ कार्यक्रम का समापन हुआ। हिंदी दिवस समारोह ने विद्यार्थियों में हिंदी भाषा के प्रति गौरव, प्रेम और सम्मान की भावना को और अधिक सुदृढ़ किया। यह आयोजन सबके लिए ज्ञानवर्धक, मनोरंजक एवं प्रेरणादायक रहा।

SBOA Public School, Garchuk, Guwahati organised a Civil Defence Awareness Training Programme-cum-Mock Drill on Earthquake and Fire Safety, in collaboration with the Civil Defence, Kamrup (M).

The programme focused on equipping students with essential knowledge and practical awareness on how to respond calmly and safely during natural and other emergencies. Through demonstrations and the mock drill, students learned the importance of preparedness, evacuation procedures, safe practices and responsible action during an emergency.

Such initiatives go beyond the classroom, empowering young minds to stay alert, act responsibly and protect themselves and others when it matters most.

Preparedness today builds safer communities tomorrow.

LEGAL MINDS — Moot Court Competition

SBOA Public School organised LEGAL MINDS – Moot Court Competition, providing young minds a dynamic platform to showcase their legal reasoning, research, advocacy, public speaking and courtroom skills.

The competition brought together 51 participants from 7 schools, witnessing impressive preparation, spirited arguments and thought-provoking courtroom presentations. It offered students a valuable glimpse into the world of law and the art of advocacy.

We are proud to share the outstanding performance
Of Our U-17 Girls Volleyball Team as they have emerged Champions in CBSE Cluster -Volleyball Tournament 2026-27
They have qualified for CBSE National Volleyball Championship.

Our Boys Team also delivered an excellent
performance, securing 3rd Place (Bronze Medal).

🎉 6 Days of Magic: Summer Camp Highlights! ☀️✨

What an incredible journey it has been! Our 6-day Summer Camp came to a spectacular close, and our hearts are absolutely full. Here is a quick look back at a week filled with learning, laughter, and lasting memories:
🧘‍♀️ Mind & Motion: Our little ones enjoyed their refreshing yoga sessions, followed by high-energy dance and music-classes where they truly found their rhythm.

🌱 Creativity & Sustainability: The children unleashed their imagination with messy, fun clay modelling and worked together to create a beautiful wishing tree out of waste!

💦 Beat the Heat: No summer camp is complete without a splash! The kids had the absolute best time cooling off and playing at our vibrant splash pool party.

🎤 The Grand Finale: We wrapped up the week with our Final Summer Camp Showdown! The stage came alive as the children sang and danced their hearts out in a beautiful tribute to their mothers, followed by super fun games just for the moms.
