DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INFORMATION CELL is a part and parcel of Kewal Nirmal Kalsi Salutary Trust, constituted to perpetuate the memory of late Nirmal Kaur Kalsi who was greatly interested and involved in the welfare and women’s cause, popularization of educational teaching, social and cultural activities expired on 18.11.04 and before her death the deceased had expressed her keen desire to form a TRUS

T to work for the women’s cause and educational development among the general public. The Government of Assam was pleased to appoint the trust as SERVICE-PROVIDERS under the provisions of PROTECTION OF WOMEN FROM DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ACT ‘2005 and the trustees has set up a DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INFORMATION CELL to work for the community mobilization and to inspire people to take bold action for dignity, equality and justice. We empower individuals and community to stand for universal human rights; addressing critical and global issues relating to domestic violence against women. We acquaint women/ ladies/girls regarding their rights and ways to achieve them. We stand by their side during the trial and support their cause.
