Phase 2 of our rehabilitation programme has begun. ❤️
We are now rebuilding and restoring the homes of people affected by the flood, with priority given to students and elderly people living alone.

Our goal is simple: to help these families return home, rebuild their lives, and begin again with hope and dignity.
This is only the beginning.

In many affected areas in Sivasagar, the immediate need for food and clothing has now reduced. But for families who have lost or damaged their homes, the road to recovery is only beginning.

We now need your support to help them rebuild their homes and restart their lives, with essential household supplies, cooking utensils, water filters, bedding and other basic necessities they need to return to a sense of normalcy.

We know this will take time. And we want to stay with these families for the long road ahead - not just until the immediate crisis passes, but until they are able to find a way forward.

The floods in Assam have devastated not just human lives, but countless animals as well.

Thousands have been swept away, while lakhs continue to struggle with illness, disease, and a severe shortage of food.

As part of our ongoing efforts to restore normalcy, Akshar Foundation, in collaboration with PYAAR FOUNDATION ANIMAL RESCUE SHELTER Pyaar Foundation, provided diagnosis and treatment to 30 animals and food to 100+ animals in Sivasagar district today.

This is just the beginning. Thousands more are still waiting for help.

The joy of serving people during this time of devastation is beyond words, yet at the same time, it is deeply heartbreaking to witness their pain.
