Awareness Today, A Healthier Tomorrow! ❤️

An awareness programme on the National AIDS and STD Control Programme (NACP) was organised at the Red Cross Nursing Training Centre under the aegis of the Assam State AIDS Control Society (ASACS), Khanapara, Guwahati, in association with the District Health Society.

The programme engaged ANM 1st and 2nd year students and nursing tutors in an informative and interactive session on HIV/AIDS prevention, STI/RTI control, available healthcare services, and the importance of eliminating stigma and discrimination.

Empowering future healthcare professionals with the right knowledge is a vital step towards building an informed, compassionate, and stigma-free society.

Monitoring water safety and ground realities in Sivasagar!

On 13th October 2026, our ground team—alongside Ms. Helena Loh from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC)—visited Nepalikhuti to assess ongoing recovery efforts and hold direct discussions with local residents.

During the visit, the joint team conducted a detailed technical inspection of the 2 Water Purification Units (WPUs) installed in the village to ensure the continuous delivery of safe, clean drinking water to flood-affected households.

Through close collaboration with IFRC, the Indian Red Cross Society continues to combine global expertise with local action to protect community health and dignity. 💧✨

Today, 14th October 2026, the Indian Red Cross Society, Assam State Branch, continued its Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM) drive across Sivasagar District.

Our ground teams conducted 2 Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) across 3 community groups in Habi Gaon and Bhajoni.

These structured interactive sessions allow us to gather direct qualitative feedback from affected families, ensuring our humanitarian assistance remains accountable, transparent, and aligned with community needs. 🤝💙

FREE HEALTH CAMP IN CHARAIDEO 🏥🩺

Extending comprehensive healthcare services to local communities!

Today, 10th October 2026, a Free Health Camp was successfully organized by the Indian Red Cross Society, Tinsukia District Branch, in collaboration with the Assam State Branch at Ankur Cultural Centre, Chalapathar, Charaideo.

The camp offered free consultations and services across key specialties—including Eye, Dental, General Medicine, Obs & Gynae, and Pediatrics—alongside free medicines, free blood testing, and subsidized eyeglasses.

Today, the Indian Red Cross Society, Dibrugarh collaborated on a Free Eye Check-up & Awareness Camp, organized by Sangini Ladies Club, BCPL, Dibrugarh.

This impactful health initiative was held at the BCPL Township, Lepetkata, in partnership with Maeyes Foundation & Renu Eye Care Centre, bringing critical eye health services directly to local residents.

Completing Post-Distribution Monitoring in Jorhat!

Today, 10th October 2026, the Indian Red Cross Society, Assam State Branch, successfully wrapped up its Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM) drive across Jorhat.

During the drive, our teams conducted 2 Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and collected 45 door-to-door feedback surveys directly through KoBoToolbox.

By utilizing digital tools like KoBo, we continue to gather real-time data to evaluate relief impact, uphold total transparency, and ensure community voices guide our ongoing humanitarian operations. 🤝💙
