Established in 1991-1992 and registered under the Societies Registration Act, XXI of 1860, Aashaa Bora Foundation is a non-profitable, non-governmental and non-political entity based in Guwahati, Assam (India). Aashaa Bora Foundation was founded by a women entrepreneur and social worker Dr. Asha Bora, working in the areas of skill development, livelihood generation, health care, children’s rights
and women’s empowerment. The aim of the foundation is to generate awareness among various communities through a system of dissemination, where in organizations and individuals are given access to information of new technological initiatives and production enterprise. Since inception the organization has been conducting a lot of social development activities in its jurisdiction from own sources and with co-operation of community and other Govt agencies
Dr. Aashaa Bora was involved in a number of social activities and primarily encouraging the entrepreneurship skill of woman. Dr. Aashaa Bora is the Founder and Director of Greenwood Resorts Pvt. The founder member of North East Woman Entrepreneurs Association (Central Committee). The Advisor of Snehalaya (Orphanage) and Founder member of All Assam Horticulture society. Associated with Mother Terrassa SOS. President of Chamber of Commerce (Woman’s wing). President of Greenwood Eco Development Society. Executive member of Hotels and Restaurant Association of Assam.
