Our goal? To transform GU Campus into the greenest and cleanest university campus in India!

We were honored by the presence of Dr. Ranjan Kr. Kakati, DSW,GU and Dr. Kuldeep Patgiri,Deputy DSW,GU. Their support inspires us to work harder for a sustainable future. Every tree planted and every piece of trash collected brings us one step closer to a cleaner, greener planet.

World Earth Day 2025

মই প্ৰকৃতি– GU Eco Club, in collaboration with the Depts. of EVS & Wildlife Sciences, Gauhati University celebrated Earth Day with a special screening of the Assamese film 'সেউজ সন্ধান' at PD Hall, Gauhati University.

The celebration was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. Nani Gopal Mahanta, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Gauhati University. In his address, he emphasized the urgent need for collective action to protect the environment and expressed his appreciation for the initiative, voicing hope for more such meaningful efforts in the future.

We were honored to host actor & environmentalist Arghadeep Baruah as Guest of Honour while Mr. Pramod Kalita, a dedicated farmer and passionate conservationist working towards the protection of Deepor Beel, was present as Special Guest.

Also joining us were Dr. Ranjan Kr. Kakati (DSW), Dr. Malabika Kakoty Saikia, and Dr. Banashri Kakati,Assistant Professors- whose presence added great value to the occasion.

Together, let’s keep working towards a greener tomorrow!
