Dance Workshop Highlights | Snehjori Summer Fest 2026 ✨

The three-day Dance Workshop at Snehjori Summer Fest 2026 concluded with immense joy, energy, and creativity. Over these three days, our children enthusiastically learned and prepared a special tribute dance dedicated to the legendary Assamese singer Zubeen Garg, which they will proudly present at our upcoming Annual Day celebration.

The workshop not only helped the children learn dance but also built their confidence, teamwork, discipline, and love for Assamese culture.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Barnali Kalita for giving her time, patience, and talent to teach our children such beautiful choreography. Your guidance and dedication have made this experience truly memorable.

The third day of our Summer Workshop began with a refreshing Yoga session that encouraged children to stretch, breathe, relax, and develop mindfulness. The session helped them start the day with positive energy while promoting physical and mental well-being.

Day 2 of Snehjori Summer Workshop 2026 🌸🎨

The second day of our Summer Workshop was all about creativity, imagination, and hands-on learning through craft.

Our young participants enthusiastically created beautiful paper flowers and explored the fascinating world of textured art. Through these activities, they not only expressed their creativity but also strengthened their fine motor skills, patience, and confidence while learning together.

It was wonderful to see children from different communities interacting, sharing ideas, helping one another, and enjoying the joy of creating something with their own hands.

Every artwork reflected their unique imagination and reminded us that when children are given a safe and joyful space to create, they truly bloom.

Snehjori Summer Workshop 2026 Begins! 🎨✨

Today marked the joyful beginning of the Snehjori Summer Workshop, bringing together children from the three different communities where Snehjori works.

Our first session was an engaging Art Workshop, creating a wonderful space for children to express themselves, interact, make new friends, and get to know one another. The smiles, creativity, and enthusiasm of the participants made for a truly memorable start to the workshop.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Ranjit, from West Guwahati College of Education, for joining us as the resource person and inspiring the children with his guidance and creativity. Your valuable contribution helped make the session meaningful and enjoyable for everyone.

This is just the beginning of an exciting journey filled with learning, creativity, fun, and friendship. We look forward to many more enriching sessions in the days ahead!

From 19th to 21st June, our team member Minaj participated in the Library Workshop organized by FLN in Guwahati. Our trustee, Reshma, also joined the workshop as a mentor.

The workshop was an enriching learning experience from both perspectives—as a participant and as a mentor. It provided valuable insights into strengthening library initiatives, exchanging ideas and best practices, and reflecting on our work.

One of the most meaningful outcomes was the opportunity to build connections with organizations across Assam that are working in the library and reading ecosystem. We look forward to nurturing these relationships and working together to create stronger, more inclusive library spaces for children and communities.

We are grateful to FLN for creating such a collaborative platform for learning, sharing, and networking.

We are happy to share that a new learning space, “Abdul Kalam Library and Resource Center,” has started under the Gauhati University campus at B.K. Colony by Snehjori for the children and families of the campus cleaners’ community.

This initiative aims to create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment where children can access books, learning resources, creative activities, and mentorship opportunities. Many children from the community grow up with limited educational support, and this center is a small step towards ensuring they have a space to dream, learn, and grow with dignity.

The library and resource center will focus on reading habits, foundational learning, youth development, life skills, and community engagement. We believe that every child deserves equal access to opportunities, guidance, and a nurturing learning environment.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported us in starting this initiative. Your encouragement strengthens our journey towards building stronger and more compassionate communities through education.

Together, we hope to make this center a place of hope, learning, and transformation for the campus cleaners’ community.
