π± Aide et Action, in collaboration with DIET, Dhemaji and support of Tata Trusts, is implementing a brand new initiative titled 'Strengthening Access to Quality Primary Education in Dhemaji' (SAQED) in the Murkongselek area of Dhemaji district, Assam.
π‘ The 'Strengthening Access to Quality Primary Education in Dhemaji' is an initiative introduced to strengthen the primary education in the Murkongselek Educational Block, Dhemaji covering 250 LP Schools and 500 teachers with 40 CRCCs through FLN intervention, capacity building of teachers, creating multilingual resource materials and providing on ground support to the teachers.
π In order to orient the team on this new initiative, a 3-day Inception Workshop was organised from 6th to 8th May, 2026 at the Conference Hall of DIET Dhemaji. A total of 77 participants were present.
π± The Principal of DIET Dhemaji, Mausumi Baruah Bardoloi was present at this workshop and offered their invaluable expertise along with DIET Faculties and Expert teachers from respective domains.
π‘ With the main purpose of orienting new team members on the overall purpose of the initiative and their job roles, FLN skills, HR and organizational protocols.
π Team members were also briefed on the NEP 2020 and National Curriculum Framework - Foundational Stage, demonstration of Literacy and Numeracy activities related to FLN.
π± The project will attempt to address classroom instructional problems, provide child-friendly spaces for children during floods and establish a multilingual resource hub at DIET Dhemaji and the stakeholders include the Mothers' Groups , School Management Committees, CRCCs, Mising Autonomous Council and Mising Sahitya Sabha.
