Breaking the Silence. Building Understanding.

On 11th November, we organised a Menstrual Hygiene Education Session with 15 middle school students (Grades 6-8) at AIM International School, Gurgaon. 5 of the students were boys who had never heard about menstruation before! With confidence and care the facilitator, Srishti, explained the biological process, hygiene practices, hormonal changes, and common myths— helping the students to understand their bodies. To begin with, most students had no idea what menstruation was, but by the end of the session, they were engaging enthusiastically and asking questions openly.
Set in the background where adolescent girls and boys are most often not taught about menstruation, hygiene, or what to expect during their monthly cycle. they are left to pick up explanations that float around in oral tradition from cousins, friends or another semi-informed older person. Schools do not have a firm or dedicated system in place to address this very important aspect of life.
At the Womenablers Foundation, we believe every gender and age group deserves accurate information - free from stigma, shame, or myths. Menstruation must not remain a taboo topic to speak about. Everyone should have an accessible tool kit that helps them align to better health. WE are convinced that this is a powerful step toward building empathy and normalizing conversations around periods. It was heartwarming to see minds open, taboos break, and confidence bloom.

Thankyou AIM International School for your support in fostering awareness and inclusivity.

Thankyou to partner EveCare for supporting this initiative!

Empowering the next generation: Gender Sensitization as a foundation for self-agency!

WomEnablers Foundation is proud to share the success of our recent Gender Sensitization workshop for 75 students at Government Girls College, Sector 52, Gurugram (October 31st).

Facilitator Srishti Singh engaged the young women in an insightful and interactive session designed to break barriers and build critical awareness:

Challenge Stereotypes: Encouraging participants to question traditional norms and reflect on how gender roles shape their opportunities.

Foster Critical Dialogue: Using interactive activities and an inspiring video on gender conditioning to spark meaningful reflection.

Build Self-Agency: Directly impacting adolescent girls, particularly those from underprivileged and rural backgrounds, by boosting their awareness and confidence.

At WomEnablers Foundation, we believe that Gender Sensitization is not just awareness—it is the bedrock of equality, empathy, and empowerment. 💪

A huge thank you to Srishti Singh for her expert facilitation and Habiba Barbhuiya for her support

WE are delighted to share that WomEnablers Foundation participated in GiveIndia’s annual celebration of the spirit of Daan Utsav ‘100 Heroes ’25’!
This year, we joined the movement for our ELEVATE Life Readiness Program, empowering adolescent girls to build confidence, leadership, and resilience.
At WomEnablers Foundation, we believe that true empowerment means equipping girls with the skills, confidence, and emotional readiness to navigate real-life challenges, make informed choices, and shape their own futures.
WE creates safe and nurturing learning spaces where girls build:
✨ Self-belief and self-awareness
✨ Communication and leadership skills
✨ Emotional intelligence and decision-making abilities
✨ Goal-setting and resilience to face life’s uncertainties
Our sessions enable girls to grow into confident, compassionate, and capable young women ready for life, learning, and livelihood.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has contributed so far. Your support helps us bring life-readiness education to more girls from underserved communities and helps to give them the tools to dream, decide, and lead with purpose.

A heartfelt thank you to GiveIndia for this platform, and to everyone who continues to believe in the power of girls’ education and life-readiness. Together, we can make every girl seen, heard, and unstoppable.

At Womenablers Foundation, under our Elevate Program, we organized a Menstrual Hygiene & Education (MHE) Workshop with 485 girls across classes 10th to UG Colleges in Gurgaon.
Such sessions are an important part of our module, ensuring that young girls not only learn about their bodies but also gain confidence in managing their health.
The session focused on:
🔹 Menstrual & biological process → helping students understand what happens in their bodies.
🔹 Cycle & symptoms → recognizing patterns & managing them better.
🔹 Hygiene practices → because health and safety come first.
🔹 Taboos & myths → breaking harmful beliefs that hold girls back.
🔹 Period tracking with the Evecare App → building self-awareness through digital solutions.
🌸 Through an interactive activity, girls shared their unique symptoms and experiences—realizing they are not alone and that everybody is unique.
At Womenablers Foundation, our aim is to create safe, supportive spaces where adolescent girls can talk, learn, and support each other—because menstrual health should never be a taboo.
