Young Indians Yi is a movement for Indian Youth with over 8,000+ members in 72 cities & 21.7 lakhs+ College and School Students

CII’s Young Indians (Yi) is a movement for Indian Youth to converge, lead, co-create and influence India’s future. Formed in 2002, Yi has a growing, inclusive membership with over 4000+ direct members in 57 chapters, and 29500 college students YUVA members. Yi membership includes young entrepreneurs, professionals, and achievers from different walks of life between the age group of 21-45 years. Through impactful projects and activities under “Youth Leadership”, “Nation Building” and “Thought Leadership”, Yi hopes to emerge as a premier Indian Youth Organization and play an important role in Nation Building. Yi is one of the proud founders of the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance (G20) & Commonwealth Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs (CAYE)- Asia Pacific.

Welcome, Yi Kottayam!

A new chapter begins! Yi Kottayam has been officially launched as the 73rd Yi Chapter on 11 September 2026.

The launch was graced by Mr. Chetan Kumar Meena, IAS, District Collector, Kottayam, as the Chief Guest, and Mr. Santhosh George Kulangara, Founder & Managing Director, Safari TV Channel, as the Guest of Honour.

We are delighted to welcome Mr. Bibin Jacob Kochett, Incoming Chair, and Ms. Rheanna Anna Thomas, Incoming Co-Chair, along with the founding members to the Yi family.

115+ teams believe making Indian roads safer and more inclusive for everyone is critical to building a safer India.

Through Young Indians’ Future 6.0, college students are tackling the challenge beyond building roads - designing low-cost, scalable solutions to retrofit existing roads with safer crossings, better footpaths and protected spaces for pedestrians, cyclists and elderly users, especially in Tier 2/3 cities.
