INDHA aims at creating community based livelihood enhancement models to achieve reduction in poverty in rural and semi urban areas in Haryana, Delhi , Rajasthan , Jharkhand and West Bengal on a sustainable basis. Its purpose is to enable most vulnerable groups of the villages to contribute more effectively to the development of their communities by adapting to various skills. Generally, the poores

t and the marginalized sections are otherwise excluded or exclude themselves from such activities because the compulsions of meeting the immediate survival needs becomes their primary task. The project objectives are to :
*Improve the income status of the poor through production support and skill training,
*Raise confidence and initiative level to take to new skills and areas of work to enhance their social and economic status.
*To raise funds for other projects of Literacy India.

🌍 This Earth Day, our long-time partner Deloitte India proudly organized INDHA’s exhibitions across Gurgaon, Hyderabad, and Kolkata, helping create awareness for women empowerment through INDHA’S CRAFT.

The exhibitions celebrated sustainability, creativity, and the extraordinary skills of women artisans whose handcrafted creations reflect resilience, dignity, and hope. Every piece showcased the power of livelihood creation through craft.

We deeply value partners like Deloitte India, whose continued support strengthens our shared mission of empowering women and building sustainable communities. Together, meaningful change becomes possible. 🌱✨

Who would have imagined this beautiful role reversal?

At the Dell event, 30 enthusiastic volunteers joined hands with 4 skilled Indha artisans to create something meaningful for Earth Day. Together they learned the art of recycled paper making, sewing children’s drawing books, and block printing each cover by hand.

What made the day special was not only the craft, but the people. Our artisans stood proudly as teachers, guiding corporate professionals with patience, skill, and grace. A reminder that talent, dignity, and wisdom live in every pair of working hands.

When we create with our hands, we remember with our hearts. Every stitch, every print, every page carried a message of care for our planet and respect for one another.

It was a fun day, a learning day, and a deeply human day for everyone involved.

Three beautiful reasons to celebrate today — 🌍 Earth Day, 🎨 International Art Day, and 🏛️ World Heritage Day.

Where others see waste, we see wonder.
Leftover fabric becomes handcrafted treasures.
Waste paper turns into thoughtful décor.
Defective monitors find a second life as bold artwork.

Our heritage lives on through the hands of artisans — in vibrant Gond Art, timeless Indian ethnic embroidery motifs which says we love all creatures who are part of this earth , and not to miss  graceful elephant block prints on breathable cotton.

Art can heal. Craft can sustain. Heritage can inspire.
When creativity meets responsibility, every discarded piece gets a second chance.

Celebrate the planet. Celebrate culture. Celebrate makers.
Gift consciously. Decorate meaningfully. Live beautifully.

For over two decades, Indha has quietly walked alongside the earth—thread by thread, story by story.

Our jute bags carry that journey forward.
In their natural hues, you’ll find the calm of soil and sun. In every block print, a rhythm of tradition. In each line of embroidery, the patience of hands that still believe in craft.

Made in all sizes for all your moments—
pick one up for a quick errand, take it along on a long drive, or simply carry it as your everyday statement. Effortless. Grounded. Chic in its own honest way.

This isn’t just a bag.
It’s a choice—one that leans gently towards the planet.

Take it home. Carry it forward. 🌿

As summer arrives at our threshold, the earth begins its gentle hum.

Across our fabrics, the elephant walks steady and wise, while the camel moves quietly through imagined sands—both finding their place in patterns shaped by hand. These are not just motifs; they are journeys—of strength, endurance, and grace—carried from the wild into the rhythm of craft.

Each block print, pressed patiently in earth-born colours—sunlit ochres, desert browns, and faded greens—feels like a piece of the land itself. You can almost hear it… a soft humming, like footsteps across soil, like stories that have travelled far and still choose to stay.

From block to thread, every piece carries a living story.

Not just worn—but felt.

A Republic is built in small, steady acts—like a woman earning through a skill. 🇮🇳

This Republic Day, we celebrate India’s spirit through the peacock—our national bird—and through the hands that keep our heritage alive.
At Indha , this peacock is hand-embroidered by women artisans. Every stitch is not only art—it is training, income, and dignity.
On 26 January, we salute the Republic by backing livelihoods that last—and gifts that carry meaning, not just packaging.

Vasant Panchami reminds us why learning matters—especially today, when attention is short and distractions are plenty.

We mark Saraswati Puja as a simple commitment: keep learning, keep creating, keep growing.

At Literacy India, we see this daily—children building reading confidence, girls returning to school, youth learning skills that lead to real work.

At Indha, the same learning becomes craft—hands that train, make, improve, and earn with dignity.

This season of spring is a good time to restart: one new habit, one new skill, one honest step forward.

Happy Vasant Panchami.
