INDHA aims at creating community based livelihood enhancement models to achieve reduction in poverty in rural and semi urban areas in Haryana, Delhi , Rajasthan , Jharkhand and West Bengal on a sustainable basis. Its purpose is to enable most vulnerable groups of the villages to contribute more effectively to the development of their communities by adapting to various skills. Generally, the poorest and the marginalized sections are otherwise excluded or exclude themselves from such activities because the compulsions of meeting the immediate survival needs becomes their primary task. The project objectives are to :
*Improve the income status of the poor through production support and skill training,
*Raise confidence and initiative level to take to new skills and areas of work to enhance their social and economic status.
*To raise funds for other projects of Literacy India.

Some things are not made by force.
They are made by patience.

A thread finds another.
A hand learns a skill.
A scrap finds a purpose.
An idea finds its beginning.

And slowly, what seemed like an obstacle becomes part of the making.

Perhaps that is why the elephant has always felt at home at Indha—
steady, thoughtful, quietly determined.

Rooted in tradition.
Open to possibility.
Always moving forward.

This Chaturthi, we celebrate the wisdom to begin, the patience to make, and the courage to keep moving.

Indha | Made with purpose.

To My Teacher

You taught me more than words could say,
You showed me how to find my way.

You saw in me what I could be,
And gave me wings to dream and see.

Your lessons may fade with time,
But your belief in me will always shine.

For every step I take today,
A little of your light leads the way.

Thank you, Teacher,
for helping me become me.

Indha Team salutes the Teachers !

“A person is built by their beliefs. As they believe, so they become.”
— Bhagavad Gita

Perhaps art is much the same.
An artisan may live far from galleries, cities and the world of design. Yet, with a needle, a brush, a block or simply their hands, they put a little piece of what they believe into their work.

Their love for colour becomes a motif.
Their memories become a pattern.
Their imagination becomes something we can hold.

And somehow, what begins quietly in a rural home travels far beyond it—into our homes, our lives and our hearts
Maybe that is the beautiful way of the universe:
it gives creativity a pair of hands, and lets love find its way to the world.

This Janmashtami, we celebrate the belief that creates, the hands that craft, and the simple joy of sharing something made with love. 💛
Happy Janmashtami from Indha.

Freedom

Freedom is not just the right to choose, but the courage to choose wisely.

It is the space to learn, grow, question and become who we are meant to be.

True freedom comes with responsibility—to ourselves, to others, and to our nation.

May we cherish it, protect it, and use it to create a better world for all.

🌍 This Earth Day, our long-time partner Deloitte India proudly organized INDHA’s exhibitions across Gurgaon, Hyderabad, and Kolkata, helping create awareness for women empowerment through INDHA’S CRAFT.

The exhibitions celebrated sustainability, creativity, and the extraordinary skills of women artisans whose handcrafted creations reflect resilience, dignity, and hope. Every piece showcased the power of livelihood creation through craft.

We deeply value partners like Deloitte India, whose continued support strengthens our shared mission of empowering women and building sustainable communities. Together, meaningful change becomes possible. 🌱✨
