National Skills Foundation of India

National Skills Foundation of India NSFI is a not-for-profit Foundation registered under the Indian Trust Act 1882. The Foundation works towards-

NSFI is primarily focused on the objective of skill building and development of vocational opportunities for India's large but relatively "unskilled" workforce. Ex*****on of demand based market driven skill development training programs in emerging sectors like Hospitality, Retail, Agri supply chain, Food Processing, Logistics, Warehousing, Rural distribution etc.

2. Building strong knowledge bas

e through research and development leading to policy formation and/or reforms

3. Employability and sustainable livelihood concerns of urban & rural youth, farmers, small vendors, women entrepreneurs and Workers in unorganized sector through demand led training programs.

4. Integrates and collaborate with the key stakeholders on an ongoing basis to find meaningful solutions around skill development

5. Providing a common platform for all the stakeholders in the national skill development effort. It brings together the government, industry/corporate, chambers, educational institutions, professionals, curriculum developers/trainers, certifying/awarding agencies, placement agencies, financial institutions, civil society activists, student community etc in this endeavor.

Pinal Ben started with a small tailoring shop. Today, she carries a bigger vision - to build a saree business that earns Rupees 1 lakh a month.

With NSFI's training and support, she hasn't just gained skills- she's gained confidence to dream bigger and work towards it with clarity.

This is what real impact looks like: moving from survival to aspiration, from livelihood to enterprise.

Bhavna Ben has previously taken training for jewellery making previously from NSFI.

She already has an artificial jewellery brand and with this exposure visit she was inspired by new ideas.

She wishes every woman who dreams of becoming an entrepreneur goes out there, gets trained by these initiatives and showcases their creations to the world.

Kritika has taken Banana Fibre training previously and this was her first Exposure Visit to Delhi.

Kritika says she is inspired to start her own business after this exposure visit.

Akshay has already learned about soap making from one of the technical trainings felicitated by NSFI and wanted to enhance his business understanding further with this exposure visit.

He has become more confident now and will be using the ideas he has gathered from the visit to further work on his business.

Naresh Bhai used to do the wood and bamboo work business but then he faced some losses and had to shut down.

His luck smiled when he got to know about NSFI in 2025 and since then he has been attending training and exposure visits.
