📊 According to NFHS-6 (2023–24), early initiation of breastfeeding has improved from 41.8% to 50.1%, reflecting encouraging progress. However, exclusive breastfeeding during the first six months has declined from 63.7% to 55.8%, highlighting the continued need for awareness, counselling, and family support.

On 20 June 2026, children from Sukarya’s Education on Wheels (EoW) Project enthusiastically celebrated International Yoga Day 2026 under the theme "Yoga for One Earth, One Health" 🌱✨

🧘‍♂️🧘‍♀️ Through engaging yoga sessions, children learned the importance of:
💪 Physical fitness 🧠 Mental well-being 🥗 Healthy eating habits 📵 Reduced screen time 🌿 Mindful and balanced living

Theme: "Yoga for One Earth, One Health" 🌱🌎

On 20 June 2026, an inspiring yoga session was organised at 📍Ravi Nagar, Sector 9, Gurugram under the "Give Her A Voice – Adolescent Girl Empowerment" project, supported by our CSR partner OakNorth. 💚

👥 52 participants came together to celebrate wellness and mindfulness through:

📊 NFHS-6 reveals that 6.7% of girls aged 15–19 years in India are already mothers or pregnant, underscoring the need for better access to education, healthcare, information, and opportunities for adolescent girls.

🤝 Through the Integrated SRH and Nutrition Services for Young, Low-Parity, and Currently Married Women project in Peri-Urban Areas of Noida, supported by the Gates Foundation, Sukarya is promoting sexual and reproductive health awareness, maternal well-being, nutrition, and community engagement among vulnerable communities.

📰✨ Strengthening Government Collaboration for Girls’ Empowerment in Gurugram 🤝👧

On 12 June 2026, Sukarya’s Head – Programs, Dr. Chanda Jha, along with the Gender Equality Program team, met with Ms. Sumita Rangi, District Elementary Education Officer (DEEO), Gurugram, and Mr. Manoj Lakra, District Coordinator, NIPUN Mission, to share the progress of the OakNorth-supported project, "Give Her a Voice – Adolescent Girls Empowerment."

🌟 The officials appreciated the project’s contribution to strengthening and supporting key government initiatives, including Balika Manch, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP), and Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakram (RKSK), across government schools in Gurugram.

💜 Through strong partnerships and collaborative efforts, the project is creating greater opportunities for adolescent girls to learn, lead, and thrive, while advancing SDG 5: Gender Equality.

Under the Anaemia and Malnutrition Prevention & Control Program, supported by Wipro Cares, Sukarya continues to work closely with Government Health Centers to improve access to essential healthcare services for mothers and children. 👩‍🍼👶

This year’s World Environment Day theme, “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.”, reminds us that every small action today can create a greener and healthier tomorrow. 💚🌿

On 5 June 2026, children across Sukarya’s Education On Wheels (EOW) Project intervention areas celebrated the day with great enthusiasm and active participation. 🎉🌱

A total of 98 children participated in meaningful activities, including:

🌳 Plantation Drives
✍️ Slogan Writing
💻 Virtual Environmental Awareness Sessions
🤝 Pledge-Taking Ceremonies

Through these engaging activities, children learned the importance of:

📰🌸 World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026 | Breaking the Silence, Building Awareness! 🌸📰
On 29 & 30 May 2026, awareness sessions were conducted under the Anaemia and Malnutrition Prevention & Control Program, supported by Wipro Cares, across 📍Sarhaul, Dundahera, and Basai, Gurugram, with support from local Anganwadi Centres. 🤝✨

🎯 The sessions focused on:
🩸 Menstrual hygiene management
🩺 Reproductive health
🌱 Safe menstrual practices
💬 Myth-busting and open discussions
✨ Promoting health, hygiene, and dignity

Interactive discussions encouraged participants to speak openly about menstrual health and make informed choices.

🎁 As part of the initiative, 100 Menstrual Hygiene Kits were distributed to adolescent girls and women. The kits were thoughtfully assembled by dedicated Wipro Cares employees during an employee volunteering activity, reflecting their commitment to promoting menstrual health, hygiene, and dignity for women and girls in the community. 💙🌸

On International Menstrual Hygiene Day, an awareness session was conducted at 📍Israil Camp, Delhi under the project “Adolescent Girls and Boys Empowerment: A Step Towards Gender Equality”, supported by Hughes Systique Corporation. ✨

👧 50+ adolescent girls and 👨‍👩‍👧 12 parents participated in discussions on:
🩸 Menstrual hygiene
🩺 Safe sanitary pad usage and disposal
💬 Breaking myths and period stigma

💪 Lead Girls actively shared their experiences, while 🎨 creative activities encouraged health awareness, confidence, and self-expression.

Empowered girls build healthier, stronger, and more equitable communities. 🌍💙
