When I was very little, I heard about an uncle who donated a certain percentage of his annual income to help people in need.

I remember being so inspired by him. I told myself that when I grew up, I would do the same. And when I finally started earning, I did.

For years, almost my entire salary went towards taking care of stray animals. Their food, their treatments, their rescues, their lives. It wasn’t something I ever thought twice about. This was simply where I wanted my money to go. Of course, I know that not everyone can do that, and I would never expect anyone to.

But today, I’m asking you to do something small, if you can. Set aside a tiny percentage of your income every month for them. It could be 1%. It could be 2%. It could be whatever you can comfortably afford.

Because when hundreds of people come together, those small percentages become food in a hungry stomach, medicine for a sick body, a warm bed for an old dog, and sometimes… a second chance at life.

We don’t need everyone to give everything. We just need more people to give a little, consistently.
