Genesis Foundation facilitates medical treatment for critically ill under-privileged children in India suffering with Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) from families with a monthly income of less than Rs 20,000. The support required in the said critical illness varies from specific surgeries (including neonatal), Cath Lab Interventions, along with recovery and recuperation post surgery. The children supported by the Foundation belong to families with an income of Rs 20,000 or lesser per month, and the parents and caregivers are unable to afford treatment of these children. Before and after the procedure, there can be tests, medicines, consultations and follow-up care to account for. For families already facing financial constraints, these additional costs can make analready difficult journey even harder.

It started with something easy to miss. Vaishnavi (name changed) would get breathless when she played.❤️ One small sign, the kind most of us would brush off. But it was her heart asking for help.

During the hospital and home visits, Genesis Foundation’s team Divyanka Vig Project Manager, Shivam Gupta Project Manager, Charu Dhasmana Digital Content Manager and Sandeep Kashyap Senior Fundraising Consultant, met Vaishnavi and her family and saw her journey up close. The right visit, the right diagnosis, the right care, and a little heart slowly finding its rhythm again.

"I want to become a police officer."👮‍♂️ Aayush(name changed) had already begun dreaming of the person he wanted to become.✨

After being treated for a Congenital Heart Defect through an Atrial Septal Defect Device Closure, he can now look ahead to the future he imagines for himself, one where he hopes to become a police officer and serve others.

With the support of Genesis Foundation, Aayush received the care he needed in FY 2025–26.❤️

❤️ The heart is one of the most important things keeping a child going, and yet, we can’t see it. Congenital Heart Defects can have signs and symptoms, but they aren't always recognised as a heart condition.

At the age of 11, Gautam (name changed) is getting a chance to look ahead to a healthier future. ❤️

Diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), Gautam travelled from Uttar Pradesh for the heart care he needed. With the support of Genesis Foundation, he underwent a successful TOF repair at our partner hospital. 💯

During this hospital visit, our team members Simran Sagar Singh, Charu Dhasmana and Divyanka Vig met Gautam and his mother, who has stood by him throughout this journey, doing everything she could to get her son the care he needed.

Today, what once brought worry is making way for hope and the promise of growing up healthy, dreaming big, and simply being a child. ✨
