Reposting some good work by SNS Foundation under the CSR mandate of Spicer India Private Limited.

SNS Foundation, under the CSR mandate of Spicer India, provided dry ration kits to 76 migrant and homeless families living around the MIDC, Satara belt. The packages have been thoughtfully put together so that families have provisions for a fortnight. Similar support will be provided to 100 additional families within this area in the coming days.

Commendable job by Spicer India Private Limited Jodhalli unit and the teachers and students of the location.

In keeping with the guidelines from the Government of India that all citizens should wear masks whenever they step outside their homes, Spicer India, Jodhalli plant, has set up a programme to distribute masks to the people of villages residing in it's vicinity. Using cloth contributed by the plant, teachers and students from SNS Foundation’s tailoring course are stitching the required 1,000 masks. All activities are following the prescribed social distancing norms.

Staying at home, unable to step out during the on-going lockdown, SNS Foundation team members from Pune, Satara, Nashik and Jodhalli made the best use of technology, to keep in touch with each other. They created posters to raise awareness about the spread and prevention of coronavirus.

Thursday, May 21, 2020, marks the ninth Global Accessibility Awareness Day(GAAD). The purpose of GAAD is to get everyone talking, thinking and learning about digital access and its role in the lives of people with disabilities (PwD).

Since 2012 in partnership with American India Foundation, SNS Foundation has facilitated livelihood opportunities to more than 600 PwDs. This has been possible with the support of reputed employers like Amazon, Max Fashion, Holiday Inn New Delhi Int'L Airport, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts, Le Marche and The Oberoi New Delhi etc. in the fields of hospitality, retail and e-commerce.

Going forward with support of all stakeholders, SNS Foundation determined to promote digital accessibility for its beneficiaries by equipping itself with digital learning platforms like Zoom Text Screen Reader, JAWS software & many more for the increased digital accessibility for its’ students with visual impairment.

Today is World AIDS Vaccine Day.

This day marks the continued urgent need for a vaccine to prevent HIV infection and AIDS.

For the past two decades, SNS Foundation has been working with various state AIDS control societies at Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Mumbai to promote awareness about the disease among different target groups of transport industry workers, commercial s*x workers and the very widespread migrant workforce.

Till date it has touched nearly 2 lac lives.

Today is International Nurses Day 😷

SNS Foundation salutes the invincible spirit of all nurses worldwide fighting at the frontlines of the pandemic.
Individually and together they exhibit unmatched commitment, courage and compassion.

In early 90s, SNS Foundation skill development vertical took off with a course in para-nursing, Health Assistants Training Programme.
Today the course is NSQF Level 4 aligned and carries the title of Nursing Assistant.
1600+ nursing assistants have been trained till date with
100% job placements.

Today is International Mother Earth Day 2020

Maintaining green surroundings is integral to all thought and action directed towards the preservation and protection of our Mother Earth.
SNS Foundation brings this thought into action by regular maintaining three public parks at its locations of Parwanoo, H.P. and Gurugram, Haryana.
Largely industrial towns, these vast expanses of open, green spaces offer the local residents and industrial workforce a restful place to relax and rejuvenate themselves.
