India’s rich tribal heritage is being celebrated through the Bharat Tribes Fest 2026, organised by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs from 19–30 March 2026 at Sundar Nursery.
The festival brings together tribal artists, entrepreneurs, designers, collectors, and policy leaders to explore new pathways for tribal entrepreneurship, cultural preservation, and sustainable market opportunities. It highlights how traditional knowledge and indigenous craftsmanship can be transformed into meaningful livelihoods and global cultural engagement.
Earlier in the month, the Tribes Art Fest held from 3–13 March 2026 at Travancore Palace featured panel discussions, mentorship workshops, curated art walkthroughs, and collaborative art sessions connecting tribal artists with designers, students, and art collectors.
At the same time, the vibrant Chapchar K*t celebrations in Mizoram from 9–13 March 2026 showcased traditional culture through handicraft exhibitions, flower shows, film screenings, and cultural performances.
Together, these events reflect India’s commitment to empowering tribal communities, promoting indigenous culture, and building sustainable opportunities through art, culture, and enterprise.
