In the wake of the heartbreaking news of our beloved brother Deekergail Tonnolah's passing, our hearts are heavy with grief and our thoughts are filled with memories of his infectious spirit and kind soul.
The leaders of our Chapter has decided to hold a candlelight for our late brother.

The candle light ceremony in honor of Deekergail will be a beacon of remembrance, a symbol of the light he brought into our lives and the love he shared with all who knew him. While we eagerly await the return of his body to Liberia, let us take this time to reflect on the impact he had on each of us and the legacy he leaves behind.

In the days to come, we will gather as a community to pay tribute to Deekergail, sharing stories, tears, and laughter as we navigate this journey of loss and remembrance. Together, we will find solace in each other's presence and strength in our shared memories of a dear friend and brother.

As we await the date of the candle light ceremony, let us hold each other close and keep Deekergail's spirit alive in our hearts. May the light of the candles we will light shine brightly in honor of his life and the mark he left on our lives.

With love, support, and deepest condolences

Office of the secretaries ALSI-Greater Noida Chapter.

🚨 URGENT MEDICAL APPEAL – PLEASE HELP SAVE A LIFE 🚨

Our hearts are heavy as we share the story of our dear brother, Dekergai Tonnonlah. πŸ’”

Dekergai is a proud Liberian who came to India with a dream to study, grow, and build a better future. By God’s grace and through hard work, he successfully earned his Master’s degree from Sharda University last year. πŸŽ“βœ¨ It was meant to be a moment of celebration, a turning point in his life as he prepared to return home to his family. He had already booked his ticket, ready to reunite with his loved ones after years abroad…
But life took an unexpected and painful turn.
Just before his journey home, Dekergai suddenly fell critically ill. Since last year, he has been battling a severe medical condition, fighting every day for his life. What should have been a joyful return became a long and heartbreaking struggle in the hospital. πŸ™πŸΎ

Today, his medical expenses have risen to nearly $60,000 USD, an amount far beyond what his family and close friends can afford. The burden is overwhelming, and time is not on our side.

This is why we are humbly calling on everyone.
We are humbly appealing to
Leaders, authorities, representatives, senators, the president of Liberia, the vice president of Liberia, and all those in positions of influence and compassion.
We are also calling on friends, family, fellow Liberians, fellow students, and kind-hearted individuals across the world. 🌍
This is more than a request, it is a plea for life.
Dekergai’s condition is critical, and time is not on our side. He needs urgent and continuous medical care, and without support, the situation becomes even more difficult.
No amount is too small.
Every contribution brings him closer to survival.
Every share spreads hope.

If you cannot donate, please help by sharing this message. Someone, somewhere, may be able to help save his life.
Let us come together as one people, one nation, one human family. 🀝🏾
Let us stand in unity and compassion during this difficult time.
Please donate, share, and keep Dekergai in your prayers. πŸ™ŒπŸΎ

On behalf of the leadership of the Association of Liberian Students in India (ALSI) Greater Noida Chapter, I would like to officially introduce an important upcoming program that concerns all of us as Liberian students here in Greater Noida.
We will be hosting a Reconciliation Program, on
March 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM sharp, and
The venue is Greater Noida.

This will be the first time we are organizing such a program in our chapter, and it is being done with one clear purpose, to strengthen unity, improve understanding, and build a stronger and more peaceful Liberian student community.
Therefore, as students studying far away from home, we depend on one another. Differences may arise, misunderstandings may occur, but maturity is shown when we choose dialogue over division and reconciliation over silence.

This program will provide us with the opportunity to:
M. Openly address concerns and grievances in a respectful manner.
E. Create awareness about committees and their responsibilities.
D. Encourage transparency and accountability in membership matters.
I. Strengthen participation and commitment.
A. Listen to a keynote message focused on togetherness and resolving disputes.

There will also be:
Cultural performances
Spoken word
Singing
Outdoor sports activities which include(Football, Basketball, Kickball, Lappa, Bag Race).

Food will be available for sale (Kala, Fry Plantain, and Fry Potatoes).

This will not just be an event, it is a step toward growth, maturity, and unity as Liberians in India.
We humbly encourage every Liberian student in Greater Noida to make time and be present. Your presence matters. Your voice matters. Your participation matters.
