History of Mothada Kalan
With a present day population of about 4000 and total land ownership of 1500 ghuma, Mothadda Kalan is situated between Phillaur and Goraya, about nine kilometers to the west of the sub-divisional town of Phillaur of Jalandhar district in Punjab. Equal size of population of the village is roughly estimated to have migrated to either other states of India or foreign lands in

search of greener pastures. The village though can be approached by some other link-roads too but main access is through two kilometers long metalled approach road from the Grand Trunk Road. The present day habitation was made on the mound which naturally is always raised piece of land. Hence the addition of prefix ‘ucha’ (higher leveled) to its name to differentiate its identity from its adjoining namesake Mothadda Khurd (low-leveled) which was founded by some agnates of the inhabitants of the main village. The village had been founded since times immemorial by four persons belonging to different castes . Maula Jatt belonging to Aujla sub-caste took possession in the east on the said mound while Jagta Jatt hailing from Boora sub-caste settled in the west. Jhandu ad-dharmi-as the present-day scheduled castes were called in those days- did settle in the north and the remaining fourth side of south was inhabited by a carpenter whose name has fallen into oblivion by the passage of time. ਅਫ਼ਵਾਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚੋ । ਪਿਛਲੇ ਦਿਨੀਂ ਬਰਸਾਤਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਆਸ ਪਾਸ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾਨ ਮਾਲ ਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ ,ਪਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਤੇ ਵੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਨੀ ਖੜਾ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਜਾਨੀ ਮਾਲੀ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੁਝ ਕਹਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੇ । ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਨਿਕਾਸੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਵਧੀਆ ਹੈ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਬਰਸਾਤ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ 15-20 ਮਿੰਟ 'ਚ ਹੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਕੁਝ ਸ਼ਰਾਰਤੀ ਅਨਸਰ ਬਰਸਾਤ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਵੀਡੀਓ ਫੋਟੋਆ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿੰਡ Muthada Kalan ਮੁਠੱਡਾ ਕਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਕਸ ਖਰਾਬ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸੋ ਸੁਚੇਤ ਰਹੋ ਇੱਦਾ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰਾਰਤੀ ਅਨਸਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ। ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ।

ਬਰਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਰੂਮ ਐਮਰਜੈਂਸੀ ਸਥਿਤੀਆਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਜਵਾਬੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕਿਰਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਦਿਨ-ਰਾਤ ਕਾਰਜਸ਼ੀਲ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸੂਬਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹਰ ਸੰਭਾਵੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਜਿੱਠਣ ਲਈ ਠੋਸ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਰੋਕਥਾਮ ਉਪਾਅ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਟੋਕੋਲ ਲਾਗੂ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਰੂਮ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਸੰਚਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੈਸ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਬਚਾਅ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਹਤ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਤਾਲਮੇਲ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੌਕਸ ਰਹਿਣ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਐਮਰਜੈਂਸੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਰੂਮਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਕਰਨ | Muthada Kalan ਮੁਠੱਡਾ ਕਲਾਂ
