Child Labour Cannot End with Awareness Alone- It Requires Action, Accountability, and Regional Commitment.

On the occasion of 2026, Safe Society is honored to announce that our CEO, Vishwa Vaibhav Sharma , will represent India at the SAIEVAC Regional Consultation on Combating Child Labour in South Asia.

As State Convenor, Uttar Pradesh, NACG-EVAC India, Mr. Sharma will present the Comprehensive Regional Action Plan (RAP) Matrix & Government Action Status, bringing forward grassroots experiences, policy perspectives, and community-driven solutions from India.

Across South Asia, millions of children continue to be deprived of their childhood, education, safety, and opportunities due to child labour. While progress has been made, the challenge remains immense. This consultation serves as a critical platform for , organizations, , and to evaluate progress and strengthen collective action.

As we observe World Day Against Child Labour, let us remember:

A child carrying a school bag builds a nation. A child carrying the burden of labour loses a part of their future.

Together, let us move beyond commitments and create lasting change.

GULLY BUDDY 2026 | 3rd Edition

From Streets to Stadiums – Empowering Young Champions Through Sports

Tomorrow, Safe Society proudly brings back the 3rd Edition of Gully Buddy 2026 — a community-led sports initiative that believes every child deserves a chance to dream, play, and shine. 🌟

What started as a small effort to connect children from the gullies to the stadium has now become a movement of hope, inclusion, and opportunity.

Over the years, Gully Buddy has reached 600+ children from nomadic, Musahar, and other underprivileged communities, using sports as a powerful tool for confidence-building, leadership, teamwork, and social inclusion.

This initiative is not just about games — it is about:
⚽ Breaking barriers
🤝 Building confidence
👧 Encouraging girls’ participation in sports
🌍 Creating equal opportunities for every child

One of the strongest pillars of Gully Buddy is our commitment towards gender inclusion.
To challenge gender discrimination in sports participation, we proudly ensure 60% reservation for girls participants in comparison to boys — creating spaces where girls can lead, compete, and grow fearlessly.

🏅 Sports Events:
• Race
• Kho-Kho
• Kabaddi

📍 Venue: Syed Modi Railway Stadium, Gorakhpur
Date: 24th May 2026
Time: 09:00 AM onwards

Every child deserves a playground.
Every dream deserves a chance.
And every gully deserves a buddy.

He doesn’t wait for Sundays to play.
He doesn’t wait for a playground either.

Because for him…
the street is all he has.

Between moving traffic, dust, and uncertainty —
he still finds a way to hold onto a ball…
and a small piece of childhood.

We often celebrate play as joy.
But for many children,
it is an act of survival.

Tomorrow, on 12th April – International Day for Street Children,
we pause and ask a question that deserves more attention:

Where do they play?

Not just for a day,
but every single day.

At Safe Society, we believe
every child deserves a safe space to laugh, to run, to simply be a child.

This year, we may not gather on the field…
but the question remains stronger than ever.

Let’s not look away.
Let’s start noticing.

Did you know?
In rural India, many women are able to access healthcare services to some extent, but only 26% of women receive essential postnatal care after childbirth.

Barriers such as , lack of , and limited of services still stand in their way.

However, Safe Society has been making consistent efforts to bring health awareness and essential healthcare services to communities at all levels. We believe that health is not limited to hospitals—it begins in our homes, schools, and communities.

On the occasion of we happy to share that,Over the past year, we have reached 20,000+ individuals across three districts of Uttar Pradesh through health services and awareness initiatives.

We have also engaged 5,000+ women and adolescent girls in menstrual health awareness—promoting dignity and breaking stigma.

Through our efforts, we are working to change this reality—starting one village at a time.
Often, women place their own health last while managing household and family responsibilities.

On World Health Day, let us prioritize women’s health, dignity, and access to quality healthcare.

Every girl deserves a chance to learn, grow, and lead.

In line with this belief, Safe Society is proud to partner with — an organization that has been transforming girls’ education across rural India by mobilizing communities and ensuring access to schooling for every girl. Through this partnership, Safe Society will contribute to:
🔹 Enrolling and retaining out-of-school girls
🔹 Strengthening grassroots community participation
🔹 Promoting gender equality in education
🔹 Supporting improved learning outcomes for children

Together, we aim to accelerate impact and ensure that no girl is left behind, especially in underserved and marginalized communities.

Because when a girl is educated, she not only transforms her own future—but uplifts her family, her community, and generations to come.
