Today, 24 September 2026, a delegation of the Assam Gorkha Sammelan, Goalpara District Committee, led by Mr. Mohan Lal Sharma (President), Mr. Shankar Sharma (Working President), Mr. Krishna Sharma (Vice-President), and Mr. Uttam Chhetri (General Secretary), submitted documents to the Revenue Circle Officer, Balijana Revenue Circle, regarding pending land-related applications.
The applications, submitted by members of the Gorkha community under the Basundhara 2.0 scheme for land lease/title transfer, have not yet been processed. The delegation requested the concerned authority to review the applications and initiate the necessary procedures at the earliest.
On behalf of the Assam Gorkha Sammelan, Goalpara District Committee, we earnestly appeal to the concerned authorities to sympathetically consider the genuine land-related issues faced by the Gorkha applicants and take necessary steps for their early resolution.
