Activities of NGO: Nirmal Gram Puraskar by President Smt. Pratibha Devi Patil: Total Sanitation Campaign (TCS) work assigned to SRDC by the Prakalp, Giridih (District Water & Sanitation Division) for construction of low cost laterine room in villages of 21 panachayat in Gandey block under Giridih distt. Jharkahnd state since last three years upto 2012 and expected to be extended in future. The work of SRDC has been recognised by Government of India more particularly in village area of Gandey block. As a result Barkitand panchayat has been awarded with Nirmal Gram Puraskar by our Honourable President Smt. Pratibha Devi Patil on 20 Oct. 2008 at NGP distribution ceremony held in Guwahati. Law Kumar Sinha, Secretary of our organisation attended the function to receive the award on behalf of SRDC.
