Empower Foundation started in the year 2013 with the agenda to facilitate upliftment in the lives of vulnerable sections of the society. It is a not for profit arm of Empower Pragati.

Under the Ujjwal Kal project, as part of Fire Service Week, a fire safety awareness session was conducted at Parsipada, Sayli Panchayat in collaboration with employees from the Castrol plant in Silvassa. Led by the Safety Department team, the session equipped community members with essential knowledge on fire prevention, emergency response, and safety measures. A live demonstration on the correct use of fire extinguishers added practical learning to the experience, helping participants build confidence in handling emergency situations.

With active participation from the community, the session strengthened community awareness and preparedness, reinforcing the importance of safety through knowledge and action.

Under the Castrol Ujjwal Kal initiative, employees from the Castrol Plant in Silvassa stepped beyond the workplace to join hands with their families, members of the Karad Panchayat, and Empower Foundation’s team for a cleanliness drive at the Andher Pada Check Dam. Rooted in the belief that real change begins with collective action, the initiative brought the community together for a shared purpose.Grateful for the inspiring presence of our community leaders and the enthusiasm of every volunteer who made this drive truly impactful.

Together, we are not just creating cleaner spaces, we are shaping a healthier future for generations to come.

The people who keep our highways moving often have the least access to preventive healthcare and structured support.

Under the Road Safety Initiative of the Indian Police Foundation, we conducted training for 111 truck drivers in Mathura, covering safer driving practices, fatigue management, traffic rules, and cyber fraud. 117 drivers also attended the health camp, which included health screenings, eye checkups, and access to doctor consultations.

We are grateful to the Indian Police Foundation for prioritising the wellbeing and safety of the driver community, and thank IOCL for their support in helping us reach drivers in Mathura. Our sincere thanks to the driver partners who took the time to participate and share their experiences.

Supporting drivers is a small but meaningful step toward safer roads for everyone!

As part of Road Safety Month – January 2026, under the Castrol Ujjwal Kal programme in Silvassa, a Kiran Road Safety Awareness Session was conducted at Rakholi Higher Secondary Government School, reaching 150 students from Grade 9 and 10. In collaboration with DNH, Regional Transport Office (RTO), the session promoted safe and responsible road behaviour through engaging, RTO-approved audio-visuals.

To commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month and promote understanding about early detection and prevention, we organised a special webinar for the female family members of our Castrol Eklavya trainees.

The session was facilitated by Dr. Tanusree Paul, Specialist in Hemato-Oncology, who shared valuable insights on breast cancer symptoms, screening, and the importance of timely medical consultation.

An informative and empowering session that encouraged open conversations around women’s health.

We organised a special online webinar for our Castrol Eklavya trainees across multiple batches, focusing on mental health awareness and emotional well-being.
The session was facilitated by Dr. Moni Upadhyay, Psychologist and Mental Health Consultant with DigiSwasthya Foundation, who led an insightful and interactive discussion aimed at breaking the stigma around mental health.
Our mechanic participants actively engaged in the session, raising important topics such as managing aggression at work and home, coping with feelings of depression, and building trust and resilience.
It was heartening to see such openness and participation — a reminder that mental well-being is just as essential as physical health.

Under the banner of the Castrol Ujjwal Kal program at Silvassa, passionate women from Ungan Pada were felicitated on successfully completing the Badlaav adult literacy program. With this new gained knowledge on functional literacy, they would be able to overcome the everyday challenges with ease. We all wish them the very best in their future endeavors.
Badlaav is a functional literacy program for adults wherein they are taught the basics of reading, writing, numeracy, and general awareness about their rights and government schemes.

We recently hosted a Certification Ceremony at Transport Nagar, Meerut under the Castrol Eklavya program to felicitate over 100 truck mechanics trained across multiple batches, who are now equipped with modern technical know-how and essential life skills.

The ceremony was not just about awarding certificates - it was a celebration of their dedication, an opportunity to hear their feedback, and a reminder of the impact skilling can create in strengthening the backbone of our transport system.
