๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ A Major Boost for India's Biofuel Journey!

Indian Federation of Green Energy welcomes the Government of India's decision to extend Excise Duty exemption to Ethanol Blended Petrol E22, E25, E27 & E30 through the latest notification.

This progressive step demonstrates the Government's strong commitment towards:
โœ… Enhancing India's energy security
โœ… Reducing dependence on imported crude oil
โœ… Supporting the ethanol and biofuels industry
โœ… Lowering greenhouse gas emissions
โœ… Accelerating the transition towards cleaner transportation fuels

As fossil fuel resources remain finite and global energy markets continue to face uncertainties, India must actively promote indigenous renewable fuels and biofuels. The decision to provide excise duty exemption for higher ethanol blends sends a strong market signal and creates an enabling environment for investment across the biofuel value chain.

The next critical step is to accelerate the adoption of Flex-Fuel Vehicles (FFVs) and create robust demand for higher ethanol blends such as E22, E25, E27, and E30. A strong vehicle ecosystem, supported by consumer awareness and fuel availability, will be essential to unlocking the full potential of India's biofuel economy.

This is a welcome and forward-looking move by the Government of India, reinforcing the nation's vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, energy independence, and a sustainable low-carbon future.
