The Population of India is flying towards a mark of 134 crores and in another 5 years, it will surpass China. Due to the imbalance between area and population, the available resources are falling short day by day. Even after scoring 95% marks, the students are finding it hard to get admission into the colleges and those, who somehow make it, remain unemployed and still struggle to earn their livelihood. Patients, after their operations, are compelled to be on stretchers lying in corridors because of large number of patients. It's a pity that the money which should be used to purchase milk for children, is being spent on purchase of water. Due to untapped increase of population, the life of a common man is destroyed.
Imagine, how hard the life would be, if the present scenario continues for another 25 to 30 years. There will be a requirement of vast lands to construct schools, colleges, hospitals, rails, metros, roads, offices, industries and houses to meet the then needs of such a large population, which will result in acute shortage of agricultural land and destruction of forests. There will not be enough food to eat. The nation will not be able to provide education and health care for those many number of people. All the businesses will be forced to shut because of widespread starvation and poverty throughout the nation. This will lead to rise of a day when the nation will be standing on the verge of a Civil War.
China anticipated the consequences of this problem decades ago and enacted an effective law and enforced it properly. Due to politics of vote bank, none of the government or political parties dared to figure out and combat the menace of overpopulation in last 70 years. There are certain issues of national interest which cannot be left on the discretion of people. The government needs to rise above individual beliefs of people to deal with such issues.
So, what is the solution ?
The only way out is a strict law for population control. Jansankhya Samadhan Foundation has been working in this direction since July 2015. Since then, the organisation has been approaching federal government continuously through various channels in different ways, with the demand of "Maximum Two Child Policy For All" Act. On violation of this act, the parents shall be punished with 5 years of imprisonment and all the government facilities and voting right of the parents shall be suspended for the lifetime.
It's our nation and above us all. Keeping all the cast, religious, regional and linguistic barriers aside, you are requested to join the movememt "TWO CHILD POLICY FOR ALL" to sustain the existence of our nation, India.
