Youth Network Foundation is a citizen-led initiative from Ghaziabad working on environmental action through Swachh Hindon Abhiyan, Chaara Car food rescue and Swachh Bharat awareness campaigns. The group was formed with a belief that it is the potential and the zeal of the youth that can help us achieve our goals and take us to miles. The idea of this group was initiated by Mr. Mayank Chaudhary in
October, 2015 who was inspired by the “Swachh Bharat Abhyan” started by our Honourable Prime Minister Shri. Mayank Chaudhary’s belief “it is each and every individual that can actually make a difference” brought up people to join with him and start Youth Network. Initially, the group was started with 7 people who gave their minds to the startup of the same. In December, 2015 we started with small cleaning drives, tree plantation drives and visits to orphanage. From January, 2016 the group began with its Clean and Green mission. Under this, various cleanliness drives were carried out in markets and roads, in which hundreds of volunteers would pick trash from roads and give message to shopkeepers and people not to throw garbage and trash on roads. In addition, illegal advertisements and posters were removed from many walls and pillars which were then beautifully painted by the group’s volunteers. Youth Network received tremendous response for its painting drives from government and the residents of Ghaziabad which made the city look and cleaner and beautiful. Besides cleanliness, thousands of plants and trees were planted by the group. They were not just planted, but were regularly maintained as well. Since then, the group has been increasing and taking up more campaigns aimed at achieving its objectives. Youth Network Foundation is currently working on campaigns like, through Rain Water Harvesting, installing water alarms, re-using RO waste water, say no to plastic, for planting fruit/ medicinal trees and taking its care, SwachhBharatAbhyan through cleanliness and painting drives, sanitation drives in rural areas, providing opportunity to study in schools to underprivileged kids, and solar panel awareness etc. Come and join us and be a part of Youth Network Foundation initiatives.
