A Humble Act of Kindness 💐

This post is not meant for publicity, but to spread awareness and inspire support for those who are truly in need.

Kizim Lepcha, an 84-year-old woman, lives alone after enduring unimaginable loss. Having lost her husband, two sons and three daughters, she now spends her days in solitude, as her youngest daughter is married and lives separately. Despite her age and hardships, she continues to carry on with strength, managing her life on her own while silently bearing her pain.

After learning about her situation through her neighbour, Miss Phumchung Lepcha, Mr. Milan Limboo (Social Welfare Inspector), immediately stepped forward. Along with his team, he visited her home at Leythang and extended his support by providing essential commodities and financial assistance. He also ensured that she is receiving her rightful old age pension.

Such acts of compassion remind us that humanity still lives among us.
Mr. Milan Limboo continues to set an inspiring example as a dedicated social worker.

Truly proud of you.👏

This gesture is offered as a mark of deep respect, love and remembrance for a soul who touched many lives with kindness and warmth.

This is not intended as a publicity stunt, but to highlight a genuine act of kindness and to create awareness so that more people may come forward to help those in need. Apologies Sir for sharing this without your prior permission.

A truly commendable gesture has been shown by Social Welfare Inspector, Shri Milan Limboo, who has been continuously supporting two students, Sangkit Lepcha and Rinchen Lepcha of Khyongtay, Yuksam. Since last year, he has been providing them with educational materials and financial assistance to ensure their studies continue without interruption.

It has come to our knowledge that the children lost their father at a very young age, and their mother left them when they were just 2–3 years old. Since then, their 68-year-old grandmother, Smt. Gakit Lepcha, has been raising them with great care and responsibility despite her age and challenges. However, due to her advancing age, supporting their education has been difficult.

After learning about their situation, Shri Milan Limboo extended immediate help by providing necessary study materials last year, and he has once again continued his support this year by ensuring they receive everything required for their education. His timely intervention has made a meaningful difference in their lives.

In addition, Smt. Gakit Lepcha is receiving ₹2000 per month under the Widow Pension Scheme, which serves as an important source of support for the family.

His kindness is not limited to these two children alone. He has been consistently helping many other students in different areas, showing his deep commitment towards social welfare and education.

Though he does not seek publicity or the limelight, such selfless efforts deserve to be acknowledged and shared, as they inspire others to contribute towards society. He is known not only as a dedicated officer but also as a compassionate and hardworking individual.

We are truly fortunate and proud to have such a person among us. Let us take inspiration from his actions and extend our support to those in need for a better and more compassionate society.
