AREIDA Meets Hon'ble Chief Minister; Submits Policy Reform Memorandum and ₹30.05 Lakh Relief Fund Contribution
A delegation of the Assam Real Estate & Infrastructure Developers' Association (AREIDA), consisting of President Er. Pranab Kr. Sharma, General Secretary Deepjyoti Baruah and Treasurer Pius Agarwala, had the privilege of meeting the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Assam.
During the meeting, AREIDA presented a cheque of ₹30.05 lakh towards the Hon'ble Chief Minister's Relief Fund as a collective contribution from its members to support the Government's flood relief efforts.
HCM appretiated the generous support, stating that “such contributions reflect a strong sense of social responsibility and reinforce the collective commitment towards humanitarian causes and public welfare.”
The Association also submitted a comprehensive representation proposing practical policy reforms to promote scientific urban development, ease of doing business, transparent governance, and modernisation of land administration. The recommendations focus on faster approvals, technology-driven governance, affordable housing, urban flood mitigation, road widening through TDR, and reforms in digital land records and mutation systems. Most of the proposals involve policy refinement and better implementation of existing laws rather than additional financial expenditure. These constructive suggestions will contribute towards making Assam a model State for sustainable urban growth, investment and ease of doing business.
AREIDA expresses its sincere gratitude to the Hon'ble Chief Minister for the warm reception, valuable interaction and patient hearing accorded to the delegation.
