Aya Baikho FPO Cooperative Society Ltd. inaugurated its Farmers’ Input Shop at Krishnai, Goalpara, on June 8, marking a significant step towards strengthening agricultural support services for local farmers.

The shop was inaugurated by Robert H. Tougthang, Regional Director, NCDC, in the presence of Arpam Buragohain (ADO), Dhiraj Sarma (AEA), Sameli Rabha (President, Darnang GP), Uilen Rabha (Chairman, Aya Baikho FPO), and other dignitaries. The lamp-lighting ceremony was led by Bhabesh Das, President, SFARD.

The Farmers’ Input Shop will provide organic manure, quality seeds, and other essential agricultural inputs at affordable prices, ensuring easy access to reliable farm inputs and promoting sustainable farming practices for farmers across the region.

Job Preference / Eligibility Criteria – Accountant (Farmer Producer Company)

- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

-Prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping, GST filing, TDS, or financial management will be preferred.

-Knowledge of accounting software such as Tally, Busy, or similar accounting applications.

-Understanding of financial reporting, cash book maintenance, ledger management, and bank reconciliation.

-Experience working with Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Cooperatives, NGOs, or agricultural enterprises will be an added advantage.

-Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and basic computer applications.
Strong numerical, analytical, and record-keeping skills.

-Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle financial documents accurately.
Good communication and coordination skills in Assamese, Hindi, and/or English.

N.B : Local candidates from Assam will be given preference.

Job Preference / Eligibility Criteria – Chief Executive Officer (CEO) (Farmer Producer Company)

- Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Fisheries, Rural Development, Agribusiness Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Experience in implementing and managing projects under Central Sector Schemes for formation and promotion of Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs).

-Ability to coordinate and liaise with Agriculture, Veterinary, Fisheries, and other government departments at district and block levels.

-Experience in preparing project reports, progress reports, and maintaining documentation as per Government guidelines.

-Knowledge of stage-wise project implementation and compliance requirements under FPC promotion schemes.

-Strong community mobilization skills with the ability to organize awareness meetings among small and marginal farmers.

-Experience in organizing capacity-building programs and training sessions for FPC members.

-Ability to develop market linkages for agricultural and allied products within Assam and across other states.

-Previous experience in livestock management, particularly piggery development, will be preferred.

-Ability to coordinate with Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), Assam Agricultural University (AAU), and other technical institutions for value chain development and product diversification.

-Strong leadership, planning, and team management skills.
Ability to work closely with the Project Team based in Guwahati for effective implementation and future planning of FPC activities.

-Good communication, networking, and stakeholder management skills.

Maa Banabashi FPO Cooperative Society Limited was formed under the Central Sector Scheme (CSS) for the Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, implemented by the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), Ministry of Corporation, Government of India.
