On 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐦 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 ends two-hour 𝐉𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤, Assam CM 𝐇𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 𝐁𝐢𝐬𝐰𝐚 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚 says, "In 1937, 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐦 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞 was ruling Assam and Sir Syed Saadulla was the CM, he made this rule that every Friday there would be a 2-hour break for Jumma ki namaz. Today our MLAs decided that we come to the Assembly for work, so we don't want a 2-hour break. There are members from the minority community in our Assembly rules committee, so everyone has taken this decision. This is not my decision, it is the Assembly's decision."

It was since 1936, around 90 years have passed... A lot of governments and CMs came but they did not have any problem... But we don't know what problem the current CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has. He is trying to wipe out Muslims. What are you trying to do by breaking the tradition of the House?

𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐦 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝐄𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐍𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐳 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲

In a significant update, the Assam Legislative Assembly has decided to cancel the longstanding two-hour break for Friday Namaz. The policy, which allowed a break from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM every Friday since the era of Sayed Sadullah in 1946, is now abolished. The move aims to boost assembly productivity.
