The SECONE Society which was formed by various energy sector organizations operating in North East region of India was registered by Office of Registrar of Societies, Assam on 17th June, 2009 with validity for three years. As per the objectives made at the time of formation of the Society, SECONE Society organized two national conferences on Energy- one in 2009 and the other on Renewable Energy in
2012 very successfully which brought industry and academic institutions together to a common platform. The office of SECONE Secretariat which was earlier in OIL Pipeline complex has to be shifted to House No.3, Near Housefed Complex, Last Gate, Basistha Road, Guwahati-781006 as per the resolution taken in its Annual General Meeting held on 29th June, 2012. The Society has prepared a detailed report of its activities during the period from June, 2009 to June, 2012. The Audit Reports made by Chartered Accountants for the financial years 2009-10, 2010-11 & 2011-12 were also attached with the Reports. As per the rules of Office of Registrar of Societies Assam, SECONE Society has adopted the resolution in its Annual General Meeting held on 29th June, 2012 to renew the Society for another term and formed the new Executive Committee accordingly.
