Namaste and warm welcome to Indian National Students' Association, INSA UK. INSA was founded in 2016 with the vision to make every Indian student in the UK feel at home when away from home. INSA- UK aims to provide an opportunity for all students from India to interact and share the joy of the culture and heritage of India, and to educate other students, by bringing awareness. We intend to promote

social well-being and awareness among Indian students and facilitate a strong networking through social, cultural and educational events in the UK. Our aim is to ensure the social wellbeing of students from India. INSA UK is an effort to maintain the rich traditions, the myriad of colours and cultural heritage of India and guide and help students to integrate dexterously and embrace life in UK.

What began as a student network has grown into one of the UK’s largest Indian student ecosystems, built on community, leadership, culture, and conversations that matter.

For thousands of Indian students navigating life in the UK, INSA has been more than an organisation. It has been a home.

Ten years on, the ecosystem comes together again. This year is different. This year we mark a decade.

INSA@10. Coming soon.

A huge thank you to Prof. Mary Davis for sharing such valuable insights on academic integrity, plagiarism, AI use, referencing, collusion, and ethical academic practices. Your practical examples and guidance helped students better understand how to submit assignments confidently and responsibly.

Special thanks to Masha Tokas for wonderfully moderating the session and keeping the discussion engaging and interactive throughout.
We are also grateful to everyone who joined, participated in polls, asked thoughtful questions, and contributed to meaningful discussions on maintaining integrity in higher education.

Celebrating a decade of impact, connection, and community with the incredible INSA family at the University of Manchester. 🇮🇳✨

An inspiring evening filled with meaningful conversations, powerful stories, and remarkable individuals coming together to celebrate 10 years of the Indian National Students Association (UK).

We were honoured to be joined by Mrs. Vishakha Yaduvanshi, IFS, Consul General of India- Manchester, along with our distinguished panel members — Mrs. Rincy Sajith , Mr. Ani Kaprekar , Dr. Costas Theodoridis, Mr. Ghanshyam Nabar, and Ms. Sharon Jandu OBE — whose insights and experiences made the discussions truly impactful.

Well done to the Indian Society of Manchester for their efforts to make this celebration even more meaningful.

From students and professionals to educators, leaders, and community voices, the event truly reflected the strength and spirit of the Indian community in the North of England.

What makes evenings like these special is the feeling of belonging they create — a reminder that no matter how far from home we are, community keeps us connected.

Grateful to everyone who joined us and made “Connecting North England – A Decade of Empowerment: Celebrating Journeys, Inspiring Futures” such a memorable celebration.

Here’s to stronger connections, bigger dreams, and many more years of empowering journeys ahead. ❤️

Celebrating a decade of impact, connection, and community — INSA UK @10 🇬🇧✨

For the past 10 years, INSA UK has been at the forefront of empowering Indian students across the UK — fostering leadership, building networks, and creating a true home away from home.

Bringing students, student leaders, and community leaders together on one platform, this milestone marks not just a celebration, but a continued commitment to stronger connections and greater impact.

After the successful event at the Scottish Parliament in the month of January, we now head towards Manchester & the North West — continuing to connect communities and inspire futures.

Save the date. More details to follow.

Indian students in the UK — this is your moment 🇮🇳🇬🇧

If you’re living in the UK with valid leave to remain, you may be eligible to vote in local elections — no UK citizenship required.

These elections shape the city you live in — from housing and transport to public services and future opportunities after graduation.

For international students, this directly impacts where you grow, work, and build your future.

You’re already contributing to this system. Now is your chance to be part of shaping it.
