Stars Of Hope successfully developed the Model Biodiversity Public Stop at MP Golai, Tadong, Gangtok under the CSR initiative of the Glenmark Foundation. The project has been designed to provide a modern, inclusive, and eco-friendly public transport facility while promoting biodiversity conservation, environmental awareness, and community learning.

The Public Bus Stop was inaugurated by Shri G. T. Dhungel, Hon’ble Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Government of Sikkim, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest in the presence of officials, and community members.

Designed as more than a conventional bus shelter, the Model Biodiversity Public Stop serves as an innovative public space that combines commuter convenience with environmental education and community learning.

The facility showcases Sikkim’s rich biodiversity through vibrant nature-inspired murals, artistic installations of the animals and Butterflies, educational information panels, and beautifully landscaped plants and flowering arrangements that create a refreshing green environment.

A dedicated Community Reading Corner encourages commuters to utilise their waiting time productively, fostering a culture of reading and lifelong learning.

Designed with accessibility, sustainability, and user comfort in mind, the public stop features comfortable seating, a wheelchair-accessible ramp, natural ventilation, modern lighting, and eco-friendly design elements, providing commuters with a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and environmentally responsible public space while inspiring greater appreciation for Sikkim’s natural heritage.
