Jammu, 10th August, 2026: Rajya Puraskar Testing Camp was successfully organized by J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides SHQs Gandhi Nagar Jammu at Kud, Patnitop, from 6th to 9th August 2026. The camp witnessed the active participation of 106 Scouts/Guides from the districts of Jammu, Doda, Udhampur and Samba.
The camp was organized with the objective of assessing the participants on various aspects of the Rajya Puraskar requirements and providing them an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, skills, discipline, and practical abilities.
The camp was held under the able supervision of Mtr. Nasreen Khan, State Secretary-cum-Administrative Officer.
The testing and activities were conducted by Smt. Manjeet Kour, JSTC, Shri K. L. Sharma, ALT, along with Shri. Haroon Malik ALT and other invited staff members. The trainers and staff members provided necessary guidance and support to the participants throughout the camp.
During the four-day camp, various tests and activities were conducted to evaluate the participants' knowledge and practical skills. The major components of the assessment included Written Test – To assess the theoretical knowledge and understanding of the prescribed syllabus.
Oral Test – To evaluate the participants' communication skills, knowledge, confidence, and understanding of important Scouting/Guiding concepts.
Practical Test – To assess the participants' ability to demonstrate the required practical skills.
Skill-Based Activities – Various activities were conducted by the trainers as part of the overall assessment and learning process.
The participants were also observed for discipline, teamwork, cooperation, punctuality, and active participation during the camp.
All 106 participants took an active part in the testing and activities organized during the camp. The participants displayed enthusiasm, discipline, and a positive attitude throughout the programme.
The camp provided an appropriate platform for the participants to demonstrate the knowledge and skills acquired during their Scouting/Guiding training. The guidance provided by the trainers and staff helped the participants perform the various tests and activities with confidence.
The Rajya Puraskar Testing Camp proved to be a useful and enriching experience for the participants. It enabled the trainers and testing staff to assess the participants' preparedness and competency in different areas of the Rajya Puraskar requirements.
The camp also promoted qualities such as discipline, leadership, teamwork, self-reliance, responsibility, and confidence among the participants.
