Jammu, 9th June, 2026: J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides Unit of Oriental Academy participated in proficiency badge sessions under the able leadership of Mrs. Neelam Gupta, LT(G). During the sessions, the Scouts and Guides learned various scouting and guiding skills, including teamwork, discipline, leadership, and community service. The activities provided valuable learning experiences and helped the participants enhance their knowledge and practical skills. The sessions were informative, engaging, and beneficial for all the students.

Jammu, 6th June, 2026: Three days Pratham Sopan and Dwitya Sopan camp was held at Shri. Guru Gobind Singh Hr. Sec. School Kunjwani Jammu from 4th to 6th June, 2026.

Three days Pratham Sopan and Dwitiya Sopan Training Camp was organised in Sri Guru
Gobind Singh Public Hr. Sec. School Kunjwani under the able guidance of Ms. Neeru Talwar and Harmeet Kour. 10 Scouts and 15 Guides took part during the training. The Camp was inaugurated by the school Principal S. Gurtaj Singh. The children were trained in various aspects of Scouting and Guiding such as Patrol System, B.P.Six Exercise, Different Knots, Signs and Signal Language,
Wood Craft Signs, First Aid, Demonstrate knotting, Rolling Hitch, Figure of Eight Lashing and know their use, Square Lashing, Fire, Cooking, Compass & Map.

Udhampur, 5th June 2026: Bharat Scouts and Guides unit of S.P.M. Convent Higher Secondary School, Udhampur, celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and zeal. The event witnessed the active participation of around 100 Scouts and Guides from the school.

The programme was graced by Padma Shri Shiv Nirmohi Ji as the Chief Guest. As part of the celebrations, a tree plantation drive and poster making competition was organized, during which students enthusiastically planted saplings and pledged to contribute towards environmental conservation.

Addressing the gathering, the Managing Director, Shri Kalyan Dev Singh, encouraged the students to continue their efforts by planting more trees during the forthcoming monsoon season and to play an active role in protecting the environment.

The event was conducted under the able supervision of Principal Smt. Rajani Bala. Guide Captain Shilpa Devi and Scout Master Aakarsh*t Jamwal also accompanied and guided the Scouts and Guides throughout the programme, ensuring its successful ex*****on. Udhampur, 5th June, 2026: Bharat Scouts and Guides district Udhampur organised series of Programmes in Various institutions/Unit the main activities were organised on the advice and control by the heads of the Units of Bramrishi Bhawara Shanti Vidya Peeth H.S.School,Santeshwar Bhartiye Vidya Mandir H.S.S. and various other units in the District under the guidance and circulation issued by Shri. Ashok Kumar Salhotra ,Vice President J&K Bharat Scouts & Principals tech
Staff Scouting &Guiding and other supporting staff. Shri. Ashok Kumar who is also a retired Sr.Sports Administrator and outstanding Sports Persons while interesting with the young Scouts and Guides on behalf of the J&K B S&G said that on this day poster and Drawing competions on the relevant subject were organised as a part for plantation to continue through out the all rainy seasons. On this occassion participants were administered Oath to save earth,ensuring green future through forestation,eco space and Cosmos.
Ashok kumar and all heads of the concerned institutions also asked the children in Uniform to continue figh drug menace joining the administration and Civil society to ensure clean Seeep of the drug paddlers defeating the dangerous moves by the drug smugglers and sellers thus creating,healthy and prosperous environment. Udhampur, 5th June, 2026: World Environment Day 2026 🌳 was celebrated by Bharat Scouts and Guides unit of Sant Ishwar Bharti Vidya Mandir Udhampur on 5th June, 2026.

World Environment Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Sant Ishwar Bharti Vidya Mandir. The school’s Scouting Unit successfully organized and conducted the program.
During the event, Scouts and Guides took a pledge to “Plant Trees, Remove Plastic” and shared their thoughts on environmental conservation. All the members were encouraged with the message that “Every child should plant at least one sapling and take responsibility for its care.”
On this occasion, the entire school community pledged to work towards creating a clean, green, and pollution-free environment.
Let us all join hands to protect our planet and contribute towards making the Earth safe, clean, and green.

Jammu, 4th June, 2026: Bharat Scouts and Guides unit of Presentation Convent Hr Sec School Jammu organized Fice Days camp for Guides at Kud Patnitop from 31st May to 4th June, 2026 in which 40 Guides took active part.
The camp was held under the guidance and encouragement of Ms. Nasreen Khan, State Secretary-cum-Administrative Officer, J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides,
The camp was conducted under the supervision of Guide Captain Ms. Romika and Unit Leader Mr. Balvinder, with valuable support and training from State Headquarters Ms. Manjeet Kaur, ALT Mr. Kasturi Lal Sharma ALT, and Ms. Krishna ALT. The camp provided an excellent platform for the guides to develop discipline, leadership qualities, teamwork, self-reliance, and outdoor skills through various scouting and guiding activities.

On the third day of the camp, Manager of the school Sr. Miriam Attel and Principal Sr. Amelina Rodrigues visited the campsite. They interacted with the Guides, appreciated their enthusiasm and active participation, and blessed the guides for their future endeavors. Their visit greatly motivated and encouraged the participants.

An Adventure Trekking Activity was also organized during the camp, providing the guides with an opportunity to explore nature, build endurance, strengthen teamwork, and develop self-confidence while enjoying the scenic beauty of Kud Patnitop. Various educational and recreational activities were conducted throughout the camp, making the learning experience both enjoyable and meaningful.

The camp concluded with a Grand Campfire Ceremony on 3 June 2026. On the occasion, Ms. Pallak Anand, DySP, Kud-Udhampur, visited the camp and interacted with the participants. She appreciated the efforts of the students, trainers, and school management and inspired the guides with her encouraging words and best wishes.

Udhampur, 4th June, 2026: A meeting for coordinating all important aspects of Bharat Scouts and Gudes District Udhampur by drawing cooperation from various stake holders ,civil society and District Administration was held in the office chamber of Chief Education Officer Udhampur under the Chairmanship of Dr.Jagdish Mehra JKAS on the agenda points related to initiatives and fututaristic strategy to help society and welfare of needy persons by the Units working in Govt.and Private Institutions,also in Govt. Women College Udhampur and Women College Nili Nala in District Udhampur.
Initiating discussion Shri. Ashok Kumar Vice President J&K BS&G said that to ensure growth of more units with large number of students , joint efforts are required to achieve set goals and carry on the legacy and example set by J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides continuing with same deal and motto, may it be service to trap visitors during heavy flash flood situation in Jammu & Kashmir in the last decade,work with full dedication risking life by the Scout masters & Guide Captains during Covid 19 epidemic .Collection and distribution of food,shelter and items of immediate requirement who got affected by the land slides,imcliment weather and heavy flash flood in the villages,shelter homes directly by the Scouts Guide,management and through District Administration in 2025.
The meeting was also told that J&K Council the heighest Governing body has taken some important decisions like relaxation for managing uniforms for those Institutions who can not afford ,encouraging new units in Schools and Colleges,launching of website and strong coordination between Associations ,Schools and Department of Youth Services & Sports to overcome shortage of skilled staff and organise large number of activities.
Dr.Mehra advised to follow principles of the noble World movement ,he said Education department shall provide all genuine and possible help in carrying out various public welfare and Students welfare programmes in a phased manner in the District as per the well conceived action Plan.
Shri. Subash Gupta C.E.O Udhampur also gave valuable insights to make it realy a public movement.
All members unanimously agreed to join with full vigour and strength towards the 100 days Nasha Mukat Abhiyan launched by the Hon’ble Lt.Governor's Administration to eliminate the smugglers,those engaged in this criminal act .
