e of victims, service mobilization, linking service providers, high lighting issues of human trafficking, guiding and advising the service providers in the government and non-government sector. Economic Rehabilitation for victims of CSE:- Arz has set-up a “non residential economic rehabilitation unit”, Swift Wash, which is a mechanized laundry unit. The rehabilitation unit is first of its kind and is providing rehabilitation to the members of prostitution market victims and perpetrators, male as well as female who have exited from the commercial sexual exploitation. The beneficiaries receive a salary of Rs. 5500, and also benefits such as ESI, Provident fund, crèche for children, free education for school going children, free bus service for pick up and drop, education, computer training, psycho-social counselling, legal aid, after care, etc. Till date around 200 persons have received benefits from the economic rehabilitation programme. Swift Wash has successfully prevented recurrence of prostitution activities in the former red-light district, Baina, Vasco, Goa as is managed by the women who are the beneficiary of the programme. Arz has been appointed by the Goa police as the “Nodal Ngo” of Integrated Anti Human Trafficking Unit, Goa. Arz has been providing rehabilitation services to the victims of commercial sexual exploitation at the Government State Protective Home, Goa since 2001. Arunendra Kumar Pandey has been appointed by the magistrate under section 17 (5) of Immoral Traffic Preventiona Act, 1956 at a panel member in Goa. Arz has been involved in the repatriation of the victim to their home states in India and also to the countries such as Nepal, Bangladesh and former Russian states. Arz has formulated a scheme “Prabhat” for victims of commercial sexual exploitation for the Goa Government (Not yet notified).
