Ecocabs-India Ecocabs are the modified form of Para Transit Mode of Transportation, initiated at Indian Border Tow Rickshaw came to India somewhere in 1920’s.

Now, cycle-rickshaws are seen plying in every town and cities. For short distances, it is a cheap means of transport carrying two passengers working on pedal power. Another advantage of rickshaw is it can also pass through narrow lanes. Further, the development of roads in the rural and urban areas has increased the mobility of cycle-rickshaws from towns to the adjoining villages. But, in this era

of paradigm shift to means of public transportation advancement, a step has been taken towards meeting the various aspects of already existed sustainability mode of transportation “Rickshaw”. An attempt has been to improvise the entire system of operation including accessibility, quality of service and welfare of associated traction men and named it as ‘ECOCABS”. Ecocab is a dial-a-cycle-rickshaw similar to dial-a-cab service by balancing its demand and supply through equal distribution of fleet and automation using latest IT tools. The concept was first time launched in the world at Fazilka, a small Indian border town near India Pakistan Border.
