*Gratitude*
Tribute to all the donors

I feel deeply humbled and grateful to be recognized by The Art of Living Foundation as an Unsung Everyday Hero in the category of Business & Philanthropy.

Receiving this honour in the presence of Dr. Kiran Bedi, my role model, makes this ```recognition``` even more special. The Art of Livingโ€™s Unsung Everyday Heroes initiative celebrates individuals who are quietly contributing to society and helping transform India through their work, values, and service.

For me, philanthropy has never been about recognition. It has always been about responsibility โ€” the responsibility to give back, to support communities, and to use whatever resources and opportunities we have to create meaningful impact.

At Vishwa prakash Mission, our belief has always been simple: True service happens when compassion is converted into action. This award is not just a personal honour; it belongs to every donor, volunteer, supporter, all the trustees and well-wisher who has walked with us in this journey of service.

I am thankful to The Art of Living Foundation and Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji for creating a platform that brings visibility to people and organizations working silently for society. Such recognition encourages us to continue with greater commitment and humility.

This award strengthens our resolve to keep contributing towards community welfare, social upliftment, and a more compassionate society.

Grateful. Humbled. Inspired to do more.

*A Journey of Hope: Empowering 800 students dreams Since 2016*

Creating Human Capital with Compassion.

Ten years ago, Vishwa Prakash Mission (VPM)embarked on a mission to create a ripple of change in the lives of underprivileged students. With a humble beginning of supporting just two students in 2016, we've grown exponentially, touching the lives of 800 bright minds.
Our vision is very clear i.e
Creating human capital with compassion by providing financial support for education mainly to those who lack financial resources.
While physical infrastructure is essential, we focus on empowering bright students to march ahead in life with confidence and purpose.

We're proud to share that:
217 students are studying MBBS, set to become the compassionate doctors our communities need .
238 students (120 in IIT/NITs) are pursuing B.Tech and poised to become the engineers and innovators of tomorrow.
*Girl education is our priority*, with 46.87% of our beneficiaries being girls( 375), we are making humble efforts of breaking barriers and shattering glass ceilings.
- 174 students who've lost their fathers are being supported, ensuring they don't lose their dreams amidst adversity..

Education is the greatest gift we can give. It's not just about numbers, it's more about the lives transformed, families uplifted, and communities empowered.

From the first two students to 800 and counting, this journey is a testament to the power of collective kindness.
Each donation, each prayer, and each word of encouragement has fueled our mission. Thanks to all the Donors from the Corporate world and individuals with kind hearts.
Our aim is ambitious yet achievable: support 2000 students by 2031, with 1000 pursuing medicine and engineering . By nurturing talent and fostering expertise, we wish to contribute in our small and humble way to India's journey towards self-sufficiency and progress ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ.
Join us in this noble endeavour and help create a brighter, more prosperous India.
Jai Hind.

*Gratitude for Enabling 200 Students to Become Doctors*

Another milestone achieved, and we're thrilled to share the joy with our donors and supporters! ๐ŸŒŸ
Vishwa Prakash Mission is proud to announce that we've assisted over 200 MBBS students, who will soon become full-fledged doctors ๐Ÿ™Œ. Our journey began with supporting B.Tech students, but the COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the urgent need for medical professionals, inspiring us to focus on MBBS students too๐Ÿ’ก.

We're privileged to have supported 207 MBBS students, including 89 in the financial year 2025-26 ๐Ÿ™.
As these students graduate and begin their practice, we encourage them to serve with compassion, ethics, and empathy, especially for underprivileged patients ๐Ÿค.

By 2031, we aim to support over 500 MBBS students, and with your continued kindness and generosity, we're confident we'll achieve this noble goal ๐Ÿš€.
Thank you for enabling us to make a difference in the lives of these future doctors and the communities they'll serve ๐Ÿ™Œ.

*Gratitude loaded with good news*

As the year draws to a close, it's time to express my heartfelt gratitude to Prabhu Shri and all our donors for their unwavering support ๐Ÿ™.

I'm thrilled to share two updates that highlight the incredible journey of Vishwa Prakash Mission (VPM):
1. *A Bigger Plan Ahead* ๐Ÿ™Œ
With the Almighty's blessings, we're committed to helping more needy and brilliant students. Our goal is to assist:
- 1000 students by 2027
- 2000 students by 2031 (by the time I turn 75 ๐Ÿ˜Š)

And it seems God has bigger plans! ๐Ÿ™ We're excited to share that VPM's registration has been extended for 10 years up to AY 2037, and we've received 80G approval up to 2032 from the Income Tax department ๐ŸŽ‰. Thanks to the department for reposting their confidence and believing in us. ๐Ÿ™

With this extension, we're aiming to support at least 4000 students by 2037 ๐Ÿš€. **This anticipation is fueled by the trust you've placed in me and VPM โ€“ thank you for believing in our mission which truly is our mission and not of me alone ๐Ÿ™.*

2. *Crossing a Milestone* ๐ŸŽŠ
Super happy to share that we've crossed a disbursement of Rs 1 crore (exactly 103 lacs, matching last year's figure ๐Ÿ’ธ). With 3 months left, we're on track to achieve our planned disbursement of Rs 1.30 crores ๐Ÿ’ช.

Once again, I express my deepest gratitude to you for your encouragement and support.๐Ÿ™ The bunch of 743 students we've supported so far convey their blessings and appreciation for your kindness ๐Ÿ™Œ.

May God bless us all ๐Ÿ™. Wishing you all the best of health, happiness, and prosperity ๐ŸŽ‰.

Warm regards,
Rakesh Sethi

Proud Father proud Daughter
Radha is 4th daughter of Mr Rathore who runs his own Auto for living.
Radha applied for scholarship for her MBBS studies. When she was asked to come with parent/s for interview to our office, her plea was let my elder sister come in place of my parents , reason mother is illiterate and father is not able to hear properly and uses hearing aid machine. Somehow I felt that perhaps she is not able to understand the sacrifices made by the parents and wanted to come with sister who has completed B Sc.
On my insistence, she came with the father to our office..
After introduction, I asked his father about how he has brought up her children. Radha will interup in between to make him understand what I am asking. Sir I had a 30 Gaj plot, constructed the same to provide a roof to the family, took a loan from relatives and also took loan for Auto for living. I did not want any of my children to suffer and wanted them to study. I worked for 16 to 18 hrs a day to provide for them. The area of house was so small to accommodate the growing family, so sold the same, took other loan to purchase 60 Gaj plot and constructed the same while repaying instalments of loans. Elder daughters were to be married, to earn some amount, sold the house made with lot of efforts. Bought other plot in locality where prices were low and could marry the eldest daughter. The life has been tough but he never gave up, from this small house, he married the second daughter also. Twice took auto loans to sell old auto to get some profit and manage the house. At age of 57, still I work for More than 14 to 16 hours to ensure children are not deprived of education.

I listened patiently as intent was to make the daughter understand that he may be hard of hearing but he is your father , determined to make her daughters succeed in life. The daughter was in tears and kept sobbing as the real struggle of father's life was not known to her. First objective of making her to respect the parents irrespective of their qualification and deficiencies was achieved.
Then I asked the father how she considers Radha as her daughter. It was now Radha's turn to cry again as the father narrated his view about Radha. "She is my most loved daughter. Throughout her school studies, I have never to ask her to study as she has been brilliant through out. Radha knew about family postion so she picked up a charitable school where fees shall be nominal even she has to travel daily more than 15 kilometres. I have always dreamt her of becoming a very good person. She got NEET coaching also for free. Now she has applied for a scholarship also to ensure that parents are not burdened.
Her eyes and face gleamed with a smile, she felt so humble to know how much Papa loves her. Today is my best day as I have never heard Papa praising me so profoundly.

She will be supported for the entire 5 years and I am sure when she completes MD, Papa will be the happiest person in the world.

I was witness to the great story of love and respect unfolding between the Proud Father and the Daughter Radha.

With best wishes

VPM,a beacon of hope for underprivileged students creating new records

Vishwa Prakash Mission has been making waves in the education sector for the last 10 years. The organization's unwavering commitment to empowering meritorious students from low-income backgrounds had yielded remarkable results and crossed two milestones simultaneously
1. Having assisted 700 students
2. Cumulative assistance amount crossing Rs 400 lacs.
Mr Rakesh Sethi's founder Trustee eyes still sparkle with passion and dedication. For a decade, he had been working tirelessly along with the Trustees to support underprivileged students, believing that education is the key to unlocking their true potential.
Mr Sethi's journey began humbly. As a young man, he had faced financial struggles himself. Post retirement, to ensure that brilliant students from humble backgrounds don't get stuck in achieving their dreams of higher studies, He founded Vishwa Prakash Mission(VPM) Charitable Trust dedicated to supporting such meritorious students.

The numbers look staggering: 700 students includes 341 girls and 161having lost father, had benefited from VPM, with a cumulative support amount of Rs 400 lacs. The momentum is visible as the last 100 students ( 600 to 700) are provided support in less than 8 months itself, helping one student at least every alternate day.
There was Shashank ,who had lost both his parents at a young age and was struggling to make ends meet. Not only has he completed his B.tech, he is a regular contributor to VPM to enable other students to pursue their studies , presently pursuing M.Tech from Germany.
There were Rashmi and Keerthana bright and ambitious students looking to become a doctor and Engineer and both of them had major earning members affected by cancer.
VPM had helped them secure admission to a prestigious college, where both had excelled academically .
At the age of 70 when most people start slowing down, Mr Sethi is accelerating his efforts, inspired by the impact financial support is having on young lives.
A stalwart advocate for education, his life is dedicated to bridging the gap between talent and opportunity.
Over a period of 10 years, VPM had evolved into a robust support system, providing financial aid, mentorship, and guidance to students who dared to dream big.
The students who had once struggled to make ends meet were now pursuing prestigious courses, securing lucrative jobs, and becoming beacons of hope for their families and communities.
As VPM celebrated its milestone, the organization knows that work was far from over.
VPM would continue to champion the cause of underprivileged students, empowering them to shatter glass ceilings and redefine their destinies.
We bow to Almighty and all the donors whose support has made an impactful change in this tiny effort of helping 700 students and gearing to assist 1000 by 2027 and 2000 by 2031.

Smile is the best indicator of serving with humility.

The girl Gayatri from a village in Chattisgarh (in pic)with father expressed her happiness once her scholarship for MBBS studies is approved .
These moments of happiness is that we look for at VPM,while extending our Helping Hands to brilliant students from humble background.

In fact "Helping needy and brilliant students is prayer of God"

Father with 4 children is dependent on single crop and has taken loan of 50000/ to deposit her college fees, at exhoribitant rate of interest. Further expenses for PG are also to be paid.
Immediate help of Rs 50000/ was approved per year, by the time, she completes her MBBS, she would have been assisted by Rs 250000/by VPM.

There are 125 Mbbs students and 155 B Tech students supported by VPM for the entire course. In total 676 students are supported.

To help such needy and deserving students, we request your help by your valuable contribution. You may adopt one or more students with support amount in the range of Rs 40000/ to 60000/ per year per student.
As a matter of ethical practice, cash donations are not accepted.

Tiny steps to achieve higher goal
( 2 to 200 Engineers)
We stared our journey of helping brilliant students from humble background in the year 2016.
Viksit Bharat a dream, we want to see achieved during our life time.
Young engineers can be part of chain of human resources to realize this dream.
We had helped only 2 students of Btech till 2017. Then YMCA University Faridabad( Now J C Bose University) was approached, and we started selecting 10 B tech students every year to support them financially, thereby reducing parents financial and students emotional burden.

The process started taking shape with tiny steps when we got into touch with certain NGOs providing free coaching to students.
Process of selecting students from NIT and IIT started from there in 2020.

Those tiny steps , we are happy to share, have enabled us assist 200 B Tech( 215 to be exact) students in pursing their dreams of higher studies.Amount of assitance per student per year is in the range of INR 40000 to 60000/depending on level of poverty. Of these 215 students, 93 students are from IIT/NITs with IIT Kharagpur being at top with 10 students.
88 students have completed their B Tech and are into jobs at various companies including multinationals ,earning between Rs 5 to 20 lacs +.

More honored to share that we have been able to assist 648 students so far with cumulative support amount of Rs 3.63 Crores. These also include 125 students doing MBBS and 49 CA etc..
Out of last year disbursement of INR 1.03 Crores, INR 12.28 lacs is contributed by the youngsters having secured jobs, enabling others to achieve their dreams of higher studies.
Grateful to these students and the Donors enabling us to take tiny steps towards helping 1000 students by 2027.
Best wishes

VPM spreads happiness

While We serve , speading happiness adds soothing effect and joy to the act of giving.

One of VPM existing students, referred case of Disha, the girl doing undergraduation. She had to pay college fees as well incur expenditure for doing internship for 2 months in other city increasing the financial burden.

Disha's family was facing immense financial strain due to her father's accident, which left him bedridden for three years. Despite the challenges, the family's resilience and compassion towards each other were inspiring. Disha's father, now able to drive an e-rickshaw, earns a meager โ‚น400 per day, while the family struggles to pay โ‚น6,000 monthly rent.

While interviewing Disha, we offered to help pay 50% of her fees, her eyes lit up with joy and family felt relieved,
but the story doesn't end here.
Enquiry was made about the younger sister, doing BCA from other college. She is equally brilliant as is Disha. Keeping in view the difficult situation family is going through,on the spot decision was taken to support her education also.

The family was in awe and surprise as never expected that VPM shall consider case of both the daughters even when request was asked for elder daughter only.
Disha's father's voice trembled with emotion as he said, "Sir, aap mein rab basta hai" (Sir, God lives in you).
His words were a testament to VPM's selfless service.

Those moments for me were beyond just providing financial assistance. We were restoring hope, sprrading happiness, rekindling dreams and redefining the meaning of giving.
