Music for Meaning and Cause (MFM), is a movement which uses music as a medium to unite people, exceeding Religious, Cultural and Political boundaries. It uses music (the lyrics) to articulate worldwide issues, make people reflect and think to bring about a positive social change AND it intends to create a common platform to give creative outlet to people's energies and yearnings. Music For Meaning



We do these high energy 'Jams' which aim to:

=>Create an environment/atmosphere of positivity through music and enable small scale 'community gatherings'
=>So that people participate and express themselves (and their creative energies) and forget their problems, worries for a while and live in the moment
=>To bring people together, create a platform for their interaction and intermingling..people find new friends, a new group to belong to
=>Articulate and stand for issues such as racial discrimination, environment and ecology, human rights, animal rights and make us all think and reflect about the way we are living our lives

Our Story

Music For Meaning and Cause was founded by Suraj Joneja in 2007 in Mumbai, India with a dream and a vision to spread peace, happiness and love through music and to bring people together at small scale live musical community events where we sing songs that have a message and a meaning together.

Many people have joined along in this journey and Music For Meaning has spread to 3 cities currently (with plans to spread more) – Mumbai, Bhopal and Faridabad and got much recognition from the society and media as it has grown.

That Music can be used for much more than entertainment-it can be used to say meaningful, sensible things that can touch the heart of the listener and bring about a transformation in her, is at the root of Music For Meaning’s philosophy.
