This meaningful initiative was organized by Daksh Foundation in collaboration with Tagore Public School, Sector-2, Palwal, with support from Red Cross Society, District Legal Services Authority, Yatharth Hospital (Health Partner) and Haryana Progressive Schools Conference – HPSC (Knowledge Partner).

👵👴 The programme was dedicated to the dignity, rights, health and social participation of senior citizens, and emerged as a powerful platform to nurture emotional bonding between grandparents and grandchildren, beautifully reinforcing family values and mutual respect.

🌟 The event witnessed the participation of several eminent dignitaries including senior defence veterans, educationists, legal and medical experts, school leaders and social thinkers, all united by one shared vision – ensuring care, respect and security for senior citizens while nurturing value-based childhood.

🏫 Welcome Address
Ms. Deepika Sharma, Principal, Tagore Public School, warmly welcomed all guests and highlighted the crucial role of senior citizens in strengthening families and society. She emphasized the importance of students learning from their grandparents’ experiences, values and unconditional love. She also acknowledged the visionary leadership of Mrs. Manorma Arora, Director, Tagore Group of Schools, whose 52 years of dedication have shaped the institution into a center of excellence.

🎶 Vibrant Participation
More than 344 students and over 400 grandparents participated enthusiastically. The cultural performances by students filled the atmosphere with joy, warmth and togetherness, celebrating the beauty of inter-generational bonding.

🏥 Health & Well-Being Focus
A special highlight was the on-the-spot free medical check-up camp for senior citizens by expert doctors from Yatharth Hospital, underlining the initiative’s strong commitment to elderly health and well-being.

📚 Awareness & Empowerment Sessions
• Brigadier NN Mathur (Retd.) shared the vision, objectives and services of Khyal Apne Buzoorgon Ka.
• Wing Commander HC Mann (Retd.) sensitized the audience about the Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act.
• Experts spoke on the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens (MWPSC) Act, focusing on rights and financial security of elders.
• Cyber security awareness was shared, guiding senior citizens on staying safe from online frauds.

🏆 Prize Distribution
Winners across five categories were felicitated with cash prizes by the Hon’ble Chief Guest Shri Gaurav Gautam along with other dignitaries, encouraging talent, sensitivity and social awareness among students.

🙏 Vote of Thanks
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by AVM LN Sharma, AVSM (Retd.), expressing gratitude to all partner organizations, dignitaries, parents, students and school staff for making the event a grand success.
