Sakhi Sang is an NGO that was founded in the year 1995 in Faridabad for the upliftment of underprivileged children who were not able to afford formal education. Today an increasing number of children are living in slums, trapped in daily cycle of forced labor to survive. They need someone to show them the joys of childhood, to provide them with educational opportunities so that they can build a be
tter future. Sakhi Sang is a group of like-minded people who wish to become this opportunity. Sakhi Sang is a non-profit, philanthropic organization that channels funds and efforts towards providing education and general awareness about health and sanitation for the upliftment of the less privileged children. The activities started in a park in Sector-14 under the shade of jamun trees with a batch of 10 students, which has blossomed into over 250 children today. Present Activities-
•Sakhi Sang today imparts free education each day for a group of 225 children at a park opposite plot 1382 Sector 14 Faridabad.
•The Sang employs about 15-20 teachers for all subjects and extra-curricular activities.
•Bright and deserving students are sponsored and admitted to regular schools. As the parents cannot afford the cost, the Sang bears the total cost of books, stationery and uniforms, etc. with the help of donations.
•Our members/volunteers regularly follow up on the progress made by our students.
•Children are encouraged to participate in co-curricular activities such as singing, dancing, art & crafts, games and are prepared for competitions. How can you contribute?

•Donate stationery, books, shoes, etc. The donation to this NGO is eligible to exemption of tax under section 80G of the Income-Tax act, 1961. A letter of experience will also be provided to the teachers teaching in the NGO.
