SATHI is a voluntary organization is working to catalyze the development process in underdeveloped regions of Uttar Pradesh. It was
established in 1992.

SATHI- UP or “Supporting Association for Thematic and Holistic Initiatives-Uttar Pradesh” is
one of the implementing and lead network organization of Uttar Pradesh. SATHI-UP
emerged from the need of supporting grassroots organizations through mutual sharing and
cooperation in order to make significant changes in rural areas on current issues. The SATHI-UP presently has 400 civil society organizati

ons as members. It was conceptualized by a renowned Gandhian Thinker late Shri Paras Bhai with their 24
colleagues in 1992; and registered in July 2004 under Society Registration Act. The founder
member of SATHI-UP, Paras Bhai believes that wider changes can be brought through
mutual dialogue and cooperation among CSOs.

🌱 नारी की बाड़ी – पोषण, आत्मनिर्भरता और टिकाऊ खेती की पहल 🌱
साथी संस्था द्वारा हैरिंगटनगंज ब्लॉक की सागरपट्टी ग्राम पंचायत में ग्रामीण महिला सशक्तिकरण कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत ‘नारी की बाड़ी’ कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। इस दौरान 5000 सब्ज़ी पौधों का वितरण, सब्ज़ी नर्सरी वितरण तथा जलवायु अनुकूल खेती पर किसान बैठक आयोजित की गई।
कार्यक्रम में किचन गार्डन के महत्व पर चर्चा करते हुए बताया गया कि घर पर उगाई गई शुद्ध, ताज़ी एवं ऑर्गेनिक सब्ज़ियाँ परिवार, विशेषकर महिलाओं और बच्चों के पोषण स्तर व स्वास्थ्य में सुधार लाएंगी।
इस पहल का उद्देश्य ग्रामीण महिलाओं और किसानों को पोषण सुरक्षा, आत्मनिर्भरता एवं टिकाऊ कृषि पद्धतियों से जोड़ना है, जिससे घरेलू सब्ज़ी उत्पादन बढ़े और खेती जलवायु परिवर्तन के प्रति अधिक सक्षम बन सके।
कार्यक्रम में उद्यान विभाग, पंचायत विभाग, पुलिस विभाग, किसान महिलाएं एवं पुरुष तथा साथी संस्था की टीम की सक्रिय सहभागिता रही। विभाग द्वारा योजनाओं की जानकारी, तकनीकी सहयोग एवं समय-समय पर प्रशिक्षण देने का आश्वासन भी दिया गया।

20 मार्च 2025 को बांदा जिले के पुलिस लाइन सभागार में AHTU (Anti Human Trafficking Unit) और साथी उत्तर प्रदेश संस्था द्वारा एक दिवसीय प्रशिक्षण कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यशाला का उद्घाटन अपर पुलिस अधीक्षक ने किया और उन्हें संविधान की उद्देशिका देकर सम्मानित किया गया। इसमें विभिन्न सरकारी और गैर-सरकारी संस्थाओं के अधिकारी और कर्मचारी उपस्थित रहे।
साथी उत्तर प्रदेश संस्था के जिला समन्वयक ने संस्था और MRC (Migrants Resilience Collaborative) के बारे में जानकारी दी, जो प्रवासी मजदूरों के लिए सामाजिक सुरक्षा योजनाओं, सुरक्षित पलायन, और बच्चों के संरक्षण कार्य में सहयोग करती है।
इसके बाद, लेबर इंस्पेक्टर ने पीपीटी के माध्यम से बाल श्रम, भिक्षावृत्ति, बाल विवाह, और बाल अपराधों की रोकथाम के लिए किशोर न्याय अधिनियम 2015 और POCSO अधिनियम 2012 पर विस्तृत चर्चा की। कार्यशाला में साथी उत्तर प्रदेश संस्था के अन्य सदस्य भी उपस्थित रहे।

SATHI successfully organized cross-learning workshops under the Strengthening People’s Action for a Humane, Equitable, and Sustainable Society fellowship program. The workshops took place in Chachikpur, Ambedkarnagar, from September 16th to 21st September in 2 batches.
The main objective of these workshops was to celebrate the journey of the SAHES fellowship, allowing fellows to share their personal experiences and highlight their significant contributions to the community, particularly in building and strengthening constitutional values. The sessions also provided a platform for fellows to discuss the challenges faced by their communities.

Throughout the workshops, participants presented their insights through various mediums, celebrating past achievements while also strategizing for future sustainability.

SATHI recently on 31st August participated in a prestigious one-day seminar on the Social Stock Exchange, held at Hotel Taj Ganges, Varanasi, and organized by the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The event was presided over by senior government officials of India, alongside esteemed representatives from SEBI and NSE.

The seminar focused on the pivotal role of the Social Stock Exchange in empowering social enterprises and effectively measuring social impact. SATHI's involvement in this event underscores our commitment to driving social change and contributing to a more inclusive and impactful social sector.

SATHI Launches 15-Day GPDP Awareness Campaign Across 15 Gram Panchayats in Uttar Pradesh

SATHI has started a 15-day campaign, featuring impactful role plays (Nukkad Nattak) on the importance of the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP). From August 21st to September 7th, these performances are being held across 15 Gram Panchayats, In Ayodhya District, Harringtonganj block.

As part of SATHI's Empowering Rural Women Program, this initiative aims to educate communities about GPDP, ensuring they understand and can access the provisions and facilities available to them. Here are some glimpse.
