Skill development and vocational training are the foundational pillars of WLF's livelihood promotion strategy. By imparting practical, market-relevant skills to women, WLF empowers them to generate sustainable incomes, develop entrepreneurial confidence, and contribute meaningfully to their family's economic security. During 2025–2026, WLF facilitated nine specialized skill training programs covering a diverse range of product categories — from traditional food processing and herbal soap making to spice manufacturing and value-added nutrition products.
These trainings were conducted across multiple districts in Tamil Nadu, reaching a total of 120+ women from 8 partner organizations. Each program was carefully tailored to the specific context and market opportunities available to the participating organizations, ensuring maximum relevance and impact. #

On January 13, 2026, the Women's Livelihood Federation hosted a vibrant Pongal festival that brought together 20 dedicated women members in a joyful celebration of Tamil culture and heritage. The event was more than a cultural program — it was a living affirmation of the community spirit that binds WLF's network together.
The festival featured a rich cultural program that highlighted the traditions of the harvest season, including music, dance, traditional cooking rituals, and artistic displays. On December 12 and 13, 2025, an Organizational Management Training (OMT) program was held in Thindal, bringing together representatives from member organizations and the WLF Secretariat. This two-day program focused on strengthening essential operational and institutional capacities across three core areas.
• Program Management: Effective planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of federation programs.
• Strategic Marketing: Positioning member organizations' products and services for broader market reach.
• Fundraising & Donor Engagement: Building sustainable funding pipelines through relationship-based donor stewardship.

The Women’s Livelihood Federation successfully conducted a two-day Member Training (OMT) on 12th and 13th December 2025 to strengthen the capacities of its member organizations. The training focused on key thematic areas including Human Resources, Leadership development, Marketing strategies, Fundraising and Donor Management, and effective Program Management. In addition, participants received a detailed explanation of the 53 organizational development parameters, helping them understand compliance, governance, and sustainability requirements. The sessions were interactive and practical, enabling participants to enhance their organizational systems, leadership skills, and overall institutional effectiveness for improved service delivery and long-term impact.
