Building Skills. Powering Futures 🤝

We are pleased to share an important milestone in our commitment to Industry-linked skill development and employability.
Thomas Charitable and Educational Trust (STCET) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles at the Regional Training Centre (RTC), Bengaluru.

Through this partnership, Industrial Training Institutes supported by SKIP India will work with Tata Motors to strengthen skills and create opportunities for a skilled, employable and future-ready India.

The initiative focuses on bridging industry and academia, enhancing skills and employability, strengthening the industry talent pipeline, and creating sustainable opportunities for students.

As part of this collaboration, students will receive industry-relevant training in Electric Vehicle (EV) vehicle mechanics, helping them build practical skills aligned with the evolving automotive industry.

This partnership marks a meaningful step towards connecting education, industry and employment and preparing young people for the future of mobility.

𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗮𝗽 𝗔𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 | 𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗺 𝗕𝗼𝘆𝘀 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗹, 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗶

We are pleased to share the successful completion of a one-year Digital Literacy Programme for high school students at Sevalayam Boys Hostel, Madurai.

📅 Programme Period: September 2025 – August 2026
🏆 Outcome: 34 students successfully completed the assessment and received certification.

This initiative was undertaken by 𝗔𝗖𝗦𝗔 𝗔𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗶, with training support from Institute of Vocational Training (AIT)-𝗠𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗶, a sister concern of .Thomas Charitable and Educational Trust (STCET).

The programme focused on building essential computer and digital skills, providing students with a strong foundation to navigate education and future opportunities in an increasingly digital world.

We are especially happy to see 34 young learners complete their assessment and receive certification—a small but meaningful step towards greater confidence, digital inclusion, and future readiness.

✨ Why digital literacy matters?
For young learners, digital skills are no longer optional—they are an important foundation for education, employability, communication, and future opportunities. Initiatives like this help bridge the digital gap and ensure that students from diverse backgrounds are better prepared for tomorrow.

At STCET, we remain committed to creating opportunities that equip young people with relevant skills, build confidence, and open pathways towards a better future.

We welcome CSR partners, foundations, institutions, and like-minded organisations interested in supporting and scaling digital literacy and skill-development initiatives for underserved communities. Together, we can reach more young minds and create lasting impact.

𝗣𝗢𝗖𝗦𝗢 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝘆𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲, 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗶

St.Thomas Charitable and Educational Trust (STCET) President, Mr. Kamalakannan Ramakrishnan , conducted an awareness session on the 𝗣𝗢𝗖𝗦𝗢 (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act for female students of Government Polytechnic College, Perundurai.

As a member of the POCSO Committee, our president, Mr. Kamalakannan, explained the key aspects of the Act in a simple and easy-to-understand manner, helping the students gain awareness about their rights, safety, and protection.

Around 100 students actively participated and benefited from the session.
We sincerely appreciate 𝗗𝗿. 𝗡𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱𝗵𝗮, 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗢𝗖𝗦𝗢 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲, for organizing and coordinating this important awareness programme.
It was a meaningful initiative towards creating greater awareness, confidence, and safety among young women.

At St.Thomas Charitable and Educational Trust (STCET), we were honored to welcome Mr. Senthil Kumar, the Director of Manal Foundation, to our Training Centre, Ingur, Erode District.

The visit provided a wonderful opportunity for our trainees to interact with an inspiring leader whose words of encouragement, motivation, and guidance left a lasting impression. His interaction with the trainees boosted their confidence and reinforced the importance of continuous learning and personal growth.

We sincerely thank Mr. Senthil Kumar and Manal Foundation for taking the time to visit our training centre and for their continued encouragement and support. Partnerships built on shared values and a common vision play a vital role in creating meaningful opportunities and lasting social impact.

𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻

As part of encouraging excellence in our tailoring training programme, St.Thomas Charitable and Educational Trust (STCET) proudly recognizes the outstanding efforts of our trainees through a Star Performer Award.

The best performer from each training batch is awarded a high-quality motorized sewing machine, sponsored by Manal Foundation. During the recent award presentation, Mr. Senthil Kumar, Director of Manal Foundation, handed over the sewing machine to the Star Performer from our previous batch, providing her with an opportunity to begin earning a sustainable livelihood through her newly acquired skills.

This initiative is more than a reward—it is an investment in confidence, self-reliance, and a brighter future. It has also become a source of inspiration for the women in our two ongoing training batches, motivating them to learn with greater dedication, improve their skills, and strive to become the next Star Performer.

At STCET, we believe that recognizing talent and creating livelihood opportunities go hand in hand. Such initiatives not only celebrate achievement but also empower women to build independent and sustainable futures.

The St.Thomas Charitable and Educational Trust (STCET) team was pleased to participate in the 2-Day Residential 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀, organized by the Tamil Nadu Sangam Alumni Organization at Yercaud.

The workshop provided valuable learning opportunities on key areas of nonprofit financial management, including 𝗡𝗚𝗢 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝘀, 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗜𝗦, 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀.

The interactive sessions, practical hands-on training, and knowledge sharing by experts offered meaningful insights that will further strengthen our financial systems, transparency, and organizational governance.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Tamil Nadu Sangam Alumni Organization for organizing this well-structured residential programme and creating a valuable platform for learning, collaboration, and professional development.

At STCET, we believe that strengthening institutional capacity through continuous learning is essential to delivering greater impact in the communities we serve. We look forward to applying these learnings to enhance our financial management and organizational effectiveness.

For the past 8 years, our partnership has empowered ITI students and women through skill development and livelihood initiatives, achieving 𝟴𝟴% 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 in skill development, employability, and career advancement.
