On Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM, the organizational meeting of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Independent Contract Workers' Union was held in Union Office of Dr Ambedkar Employees / Engineers Union at Mettur Thermal Power Station, Salem District.

Hon.KP Swaminathan,Hon. Jayakumar State President, Hon. Dr. Chella Selvakumar General Secretary of ILU Tamilnadu and Hon. Sasikala Madam AD, and Contract Labours Mettur Thermal Power Station were participated in the meeting.

Resolved in the meeting that after July this year, inauguration function of TNEB Independent Contract Labour Union of Mettur Thermal Power Station. We also decided to invite National President & ILU delegation from Nagpur to participate in the function.
