Mental health is a human rights issue, closely linked to rights to health, equality, participation, and freedom from coercion. Dhisha firmly believes that mental health is political, shaped by social, economic, and institutional structures rather than individual factors alone. This understanding calls for conversations across disciplines, including public health, law, psychology, sociology, and political economy.

The summit invites people from different fields and social backgrounds to come together and engage with mental health as a shared social responsibility. The event is free to attend, and spot registrations are open.

Dhisha is teaming up with the PG and Research Department of Political Science, Maharajas College, Ernakulam to deliberate a whole day youth-led Focus Group Discussion and Summit!

📍When? 17th February, 2026
📍Where? GNR Hall, Maharajas College, Ernakulam
📍Time? 10.00am to 04.00pm

The summit will dive into issues related to youth mental health and human rights, opening the space to young people to openly talk about the issues they face today.

This SUMMIT also hope to reach future generations to help bridge the gap and foster better understanding of what young people go through ✨

കഴിഞ്ഞ 11 വർഷമായി കേരളത്തിലെ പാർശ്വവൽക്കരിക്കപ്പെട്ട വ്യക്തികളുടെ മനുഷ്യാവകാശ സംരക്ഷണത്തിനായി പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു വരുന്ന സന്നദ്ധ സംഘടനയാണ് ദിശ. 1860 സൊസൈറ്റീസ് രജിട്രേഷൻ ആക്ട് പ്രകാരം രജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്ത ദിശ, എറണാകുളം ആസ്ഥാനമാക്കി സൗജന്യ നിയമ സഹായ ക്ലിനിക്കും നിയമാവബോധ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളും വർക്ക്ഷോപ്പുകളും, അക്കാഡമിക് പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളും നടത്തിപ്പോരുന്നു.
